The history of the Group of Companies “Acropolis Restaurant” began fifty years ago. It all started at Kapedes village situated on a panoramic hill.
A vineyard, part of Mr.Theodosis Savva inheritance, was initially converted to a traditional Cypriot coffee shop serving the area hunters and the travelers. As time went by the coffee shop evolved to a restaurant with Mrs. Eleni Savva being the cook serving traditional Cyprus dishes. In 1984 Christoforos, Mr.Theodosis son, decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, and keep the tradition alive.
He attended the Hotel and Food Arts institute, studying cooking, confectionery and catering. After graduating and completing his practical training he took over as the restaurant cook. In 1988 the three sons Kostakis, George, and Christoforos Theodosiou founded Theodosis Tourist Co Ltd. The restaurant started its services in the summer of 1990. They introduce buffet services with great reservations, the customers thought welcomes the new way of service. Simultaneously they start the Catering services. In the middle of 1998 under the supervision of Mr. Christoforos, who by that time is the major shareholder in the company, the first renovations take place along with the expansion of the restaurant. In the year the renovations and expansion of the restaurant is completed. In 2004 with the accession of Cyprus in EU, changes were made so the restaurant was in conformance with the HACCP standards. In 2005 the catering service takes a new form and name, it becomes Divine Catering. The catering service expands to Nicosia, opening a show room located in Nikis 8 Avenue, in order to provide a better service to its customers. Equipped with latest equipment in storing and delivering is able to cater any size and kind of exhibition throughout Cyprus. In 2008 the company engages in the Fast Food business. The company opens “Pentanostimo” in Lakatamia, Nicosia. Its purpose, to provide fresh and quality home cooked dishes for lunch and dinner. The company’s target is to expand in more locations throughout Nicosia.
