INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS OLYMPIAD (IEO) 2026

Congratulations to our student Daniil Faterov who has successfully past the three demanding phases of the national competition "Manage Your Finances Smartly, Build Your Future Wisely". Daniil is among the top 5 students selected to represent Cyprus at the International Economics Olympiad 2026, taking place in Shenzhen, China, from 12 to 20 July 2026.

This is a remarkable achievement and we wish Daniil to continue distinguishing himself on an international level.

43rd BALKAN MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD - 03.05 - 08.05.2026.

Congratulations to our student Alexis Hadjigeorgiou who represented Cyprus in the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO 2026), in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Cyprus team won a Silver and a Bronze award. Praise to the team and their teachers for their achievement.

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY AT IMS PRIVATE SCHOOL

We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Emily Tomlinson, Director of Admissions at Christ’s College, Cambridge, for the informative and detailed presentation that she gave to students and parents at IMS Private School on 27 April 2026.

The presentation was enthusiastically received by the audience and we look forward to hosting Dr. Tomlinson again next year.

5th Annual Debate Club Competition.

We would like to congratulate our student Varvara Matafonova for being the winner of this year’s debate competition. Complements to all our students for their excellent participation and special thanks to our student Ivan Koleznikov and teacher Madeleine Schnitzler for the excellent event organisation.

13th OLYMPIAD ON ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS

Congratulations to our student Alexis Hadjigeorgiou for receiving the Bronze Medal in the 13th Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics that took place in April 2026.

CAMBRIDGE PRESENTATION AT IMS PRIVATE SCHOOL

Students and parents interested in applying to Cambridge University are welcome to attend a presentation by Dr Emily Tomlinson, Director of Admissions of Christ’s College, Cambridge. Dr Tomlinson will provide details of the educational system, admissions procedures and requirements of Cambridge University and will answer questions from the audience.

It is our distinct pleasure to congratulate our students Daniil Faterov, Angelo Sebastian Zametzer and Ivan Kolesnikov on their exceptional academic performance in the 2026 International Economics Olympiad and for successfully qualifying to the top ten (10) students who will compete for the National finals.

We wish them the best of success in the final phase that will select the top five (5) students to represent Cyprus at the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) 2026.
