Today all big gems from our Nicosia and Larnaca setting met up for our kick-off meeting. We’ve been busy planning and preparing our exciting themes and concepts for next school year, which starts next week! We are so eager to see all our new and returning little gems soon - only 4 more sleeps!

The first day of preparations! 💙💚

Today marks the beginning of our preparations as our dedicated teaching team comes together to paint, varnish, refresh and prepare our outdoor environment for the year ahead!

There is so much that happens behind the scenes before we welcome our children, and our teachers are working together with care and creativity to create beautiful, welcoming spaces where children can explore, discover and grow 💎

Only 2½ weeks of summer break left… and the countdown to a brand-new school year has begun! 💙

For some of our little ones, this will be their very first time away from home, Mum and Dad. It is a big step; not only for the children, but for their parents too. 🥹🩵

At Little Gems Montessori, we understand just how important these first days are. With nearly two decades of experience, a genuine love for what we do, and gentle, child-centred approaches, we are here to support the whole family as everyone settles into this exciting new chapter.

Week 5 of our summer school was a success! Our Little Gems explored music through movement, rhythm, and creative expression. They moved their bodies to various tempos, and practiced balance and coordination through dance activities. These experiences gave them the opportunity to concentrate, gain confidence and move freely in the environment. The love for music was always the center of our journey this week 💚💙

Week 3 of our Summer School was filled with wonder, exploration and joyful discoveries! Our little scientists investigated through hands-on experiments, made exciting observations, and explored the magic of science all around us.

From bubbling reactions and curious questions to refreshing water play and outdoor adventures, every moment was an opportunity to learn, create and connect.

We ended our week with a beautiful picnic in the park. ☀️🧺

Sneak peak into Week 2 of our Summer school that was full of Sensory exploration through touch, sound, and movement! We finished our week by moulding our own keepsake ornaments to treasure 🤩

It was a fun week of discovery, creativity, splish-splash fun, and a picnic in the park! 💚💙

What an incredible first week at summer school! Our little gems dove into a world of excitement, creativity, and plenty of laughter. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
🥤 Food Frenzy Smoothie Making: The week kicked off with our smoothie-making, where we blended delicious fruits and veggies to create our own colourful concoctions. It was a tasty way to learn about nutrition!
💦 Bubbles and Water Play: Next, we splashed into fun with bubbles and water play activities. The joy on the faces as they chased bubbles was priceless, and it became a perfect opportunity to explore scientific concepts through play.
🌳 Picnic in the Park: Our week wouldn't be complete without a picnic! Our little gems enjoyed our beloved neighbourhood park, sharing stories, playing, swinging, running and, and, and!
📚 Fun and Learning: Throughout the week, we blended learning with play. Each activity was designed to spark curiosity and foster creativity, ensuring that fun and education go hand in hand.

And just like that, another wonderful school year comes to a close! What a year it has been, filled with discovery, growth, friendships, laughter, and countless moments of joy. We are so proud of all that our children have achieved and grateful to our families for their trust, support, and partnership throughout the year.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated staff, whose care, commitment, and passion help create such a special learning community every day.
So, as we end the last chapter of the 2025/26 school year, we wish all our children, families, and friends a season filled with sunshine, adventure, rest, and precious time together.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to welcoming you back for another exciting year ahead!
