Message from the President

When one looks at Cyprus, one sees an island. When one understands Cyprus, one sees a crossroads, the point where European ambition, the energy of the Middle East, the youth of Africa, and the ancient soul of the Mediterranean meet. At the heart of this crossroads stands Alexander College, driven by a mission that reaches beyond the walls of a campus: to connect knowledge to the real world, and every student to their destiny.

We live in an era of profound transformation, where the role of the university is no longer limited to delivering knowledge, but has become a civilizational responsibility: to provide the capacity to shape the future, not merely to receive it. This is why we seek a true rebirth for our college, for this century shows no mercy to universities content with traditional teaching.

Our vision rests on five pillars:

Our LLM Lecturer, Dr. Athina Sophocleous, participated in the 3rd International Scientific Conference organised by our partner university, the University of Technology and Economics, titled “The Multidimensionality of Cybersecurity: New Dimensions of Digital Crime – Law, Technology, Society.”

Dr. Sophocleous contributed to the panel discussion “Beyond Technology,” sharing insights on AI-driven education and digital resilience.

Thank you to everyone who attended Future of Work & Employability event in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University.

A day dedicated to understanding how tomorrow’s workforce is evolving and how we can prepare for it today 🌍

On behalf of Alexander College Cyprus, we extend our sincere appreciation to the leadership and colleagues of UTH Warsaw for the gracious welcome afforded to our delegation in Warsaw.

Our exchange with the Leadership, the Rector, the Deans, and the Internationalisation Office offered a valuable reflection on the evolving higher education landscape within the European Union framework, and on the shared opportunities before our institutions, particularly in internationalisation, Erasmus+ mobilities, and joint academic pathways.

This visit has reaffirmed the strength of the partnership between Alexander College Cyprus and UTH Warsaw, and we look forward to deepening it through the collaborative endeavours ahead.

Alexander College continues its dedicated work on the three-year Erasmus+ KA220-YOU project “DOTOX – DO iT: Digital Skills for Ex-Prisoners,” in collaboration with five leading European organizations.

Through ongoing international meetings and innovative training initiatives, the project aims to equip young ex-prisoners with essential digital skills, support their social reintegration and employability, and strengthen the capacity of youth workers who support them. Coordinated by RE-ACT Bulgaria, the project promotes inclusion, empowerment, and peer-to-peer youth engagement across Europe.
