🎓 The CONVERT project was proudly presented at the 1st SUNRISE Erasmus+ Research Week 2025 hosted by European University Cyprus!

On May 20, Dr. Yianna Danidou, Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity, gave a spotlight presentation titled:

🔹 "Strengthening Europe’s Cyber Shield: The Role of REWIRE and CONVERT in Workforce Development"

Her talk emphasized the importance of digital upskilling and the CONVERT project’s mission to equip graduates and young professionals with practical ICT competencies — from AI and cybersecurity to data analytics and software development.

Cybersecurity is more important than ever. With the society being trasferred in the digital era, we are increasingly using and relying on the internet. SMEs have been at the stake of attacks with phishing being the most common Cyber Incident. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered to be the backbone of Europe's economy. 25 millions of SMEs are active today in the European Union and employ more than 100 million workers.

CYBER.EUC in collaboration with the DSA #ΑΨΑ in the European Cybersecurity Month is organising an online seminar in English aiming to inform SMEs that often fail to increase their security, on the significance of being cyber secure. Research and real-life experience show that well prepared organisations deal with cyber incidents in a much more efficient way than those failing to plan or lacking the capabilities they need to address cyber threats correctly. The 2.5 hours seminar will be held online on the 20th of October and it is free to attend. The seminar will be presented by Dr. Yianna Danidou and Dr. George Hadjichristofi both cybersecurity experts lecturing at European University Cyprus.
