Happyvilla geeft begeleiding aan kinderen van 4 - 12 jaar na school uren. Uw kind wordt bij ons gestimuleerd en krijgt begeleiding bij het maken van huiswerk. Uw kind zal door muziek en kunst gestimuleerd worden om bezig te zijn, met het vormen van hun eigen 'IK'. Waarom zeggen we dat het meer dan alleen een opvang is? KULTURA FESTIVAL 2026… the countries are REVEALED! 🌍

But how did each group get their country? 👀

First, our Tio Tyson Hill did his homework and carefully selected the countries that would be part of this year’s Kultura Festival.

Then came our kick-off… and the challenge was ON! 🔥

Each group had to pitch the country they wanted to represent. And if two groups chose the same country? BATTLE! 😂

Funny enough, only Happy Candies and Happy Bees ended up in a battle. Both had their hearts set on our querida Venezuela 🇻🇪.
After a fun and passionate battle… Candies took Venezuela! 🏆😄

And now it’s official:

Happy Stars — 🇪🇸 Spain
Happy Tweens — 🇰🇷 South Korea

What we loved most? The ENERGY! Seeing our team already researching, dreaming, creating and getting completely into their countries tells us one thing: Kultura Festival is going to be BIG again this year! 💥

We need each other. We are all different, beautifully different, and somehow, together we become something even more beautiful.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. 💛

Such a simple sentence… but during our session with Naya Camelia of True Potentials Coaching , we discovered just how deep it can go.

This was not just a workshop about well-being. It was about looking inward. About honest conversations, powerful insights and, yes, moments that touched us emotionally.

We explored some of the invisible things that can stand between us and our own well-being: assumptions, interpretations, limiting beliefs and that quiet feeling of “not being good enough.”

Because before we can truly show up for our children, our parents, our colleagues and the people around us, we also need to learn how to show up for ourselves.

Thank you, Naya, for creating a space where we could think, feel, reflect and grow.

This year at Happyvilla, being LIEF starts within. 💛

Back to the WHY behind the way we work. 🌱

During our Happyvilla Kick-Off, Drs. Michelle Oldenboom - Adoptie of Mi Pret'i Wowo Psychology took us back to the origins and philosophy of Reggio Emilia, a vision that has been part of our pedagogical policy, but that we want to bring even more intentionally into our daily practice this year.

Through practical examples, reflection and conversation, Michelle challenged us to look differently at children, their environment, their creativity and our own role as educators.

Alongside the essentials we embrace from the Ron Clark Academy , we continue to strengthen the pedagogical foundation that makes Happyvilla… Happyvilla.

And we know: Reggio Emilia is not something you master in one workshop. It is something you explore, practice, reflect on and grow into.

So this was not the end of a workshop.
It was the beginning of a year of putting it into practice. 🌱💛

We keep learning, because they deserve us at our best

And just like that… our summer adventure comes to an end.

For our final day, we went back to where some of our happiest memories are made: the beach! The fishing rods barely got a break, our boys and girls spent almost the entire day fishing… and yes, they actually caught A LOT! 🐟😂

We swam, played games, listened to music, ate good food, laughed, relaxed and simply enjoyed being together.

Happy Heart, Cool Mind was more than a summer theme, we LIVED it! 💛🧠✨

What a summer. What a success. What beautiful memories.

Now… one week to clean up, reset and get Happyvilla ready for a brand-new school year. 💪🏽✨

New energy. New adventures. We’re ready!
Up to the next… Happyvilla never really sits still anyway. 😂💛

13 years of Happyvilla = 13 years of MUD! 🤎😂

Some traditions are simply too good (and too dirty) to stop! Mud Day (Modderdag) means messy hands, muddy faces, big splashes, and even bigger laughs.

Because childhood isn't supposed to stay clean. 😜

The kids had a BLAST… the washing machines, not so much. 🧺😂

Who stole the show? 🦩😂

Definitely Bob the Flamingo!

Our youngest Happyvilla kids had the most unforgettable visit with Dr. Doest and her amazing animal friends. From Crocky the parrot to the sweet dogs, every moment was filled with wonder, but let's be honest... Bob was the real celebrity!

He walked around like he owned Happyvilla, greeted everyone, and even made a few new best friends. 💛

A huge thank you to odette doest for this fun and educational experience. We learned so much, laughed even more, and we're pretty sure Bob left with a Happyvilla membership! 🦩✨

Our Happyvilla kids were completely captivated by the beautiful puppet show of Teater di Pòpchi Maletin . In a warm outdoor setting, you could see the wonder on their faces as they laughed, listened, and became part of the story.

Science came to life!! 🚀♻️💡

What an incredible day with Meneer Beharry 🇨🇼🇱🇨 who amazed our Happyvilla kids with hands-on science experiments made almost entirely from recycled materials!

From wind power, water power, and mini fountains to flying rockets and so many creative inventions using plastic bottles and everyday materials... every project proved that imagination and science can turn "trash" into something extraordinary.

The excitement, the curiosity, the smiles, and the loud "WOW!" moments said it all.
Learning has never been this much fun!

Thank you, Mr. Beharry, for inspiring our young scientists and showing them that the best discoveries often begin with creativity.

13 years? Sounds like the perfect excuse for cake... and ice cream! 🎉🧁🍦

Today was one big Happyvilla celebration!

Our amazing teens baked the cupcakes, the little ones became creative cupcake artists, the ice cream truck rolled in at just the right time, the music was pumping, the dance moves were... open to interpretation 😂, and yes... one of our Happyvilla dads even started a domino game. Once the dominoes come out, you know it's a real Curaçao celebration! 🇨🇼

And if the background song sounds familiar... that's because it's OUR song! Five years ago, during our Young, Wild & Free summer, we recorded our own version, and today it became the soundtrack to another unforgettable Happyvilla memory. 💛

Thirteen years of laughter, creativity, family, and making memories together. Here's to many more birthdays, adventures, and moments that make Happyvilla feel like home. 🥳💛
