🎄Bon Pasku tur hende!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!! Vrolijke Kerst iedereen!!! We hope our new year and your new year will be filled with more music, theatre and dance then ever!!! 🎆 During our 10 years of activity and in times of the pandemic we have realised a few things:
☆ A strong community is very important!
☆ Cultivating culture & artistic expression too!
☆ Give some extra care and attention to vulnerable groups like the elders or special needs kids!

To be honest.. Nos tim tambe a keda emoshoná! It was so wonderful to see the kids in action and for them to be seen! That's WAK MI! Ofcourse there were nerves; some tried to back out, some needed an extra pep-talk and others were all smiles or you saw blossom in front of the crowd. Most important: everyone had a lot of fun! We are very proud of how far this school has come in only 3 months.. what more could happen if this could become an ongoing part of their curriculum?

Friday 17 December was the big day that we, the kids and the teachers of the Evonius School looked forward to! After 3 months of intensive weekly lessons and rehearsals it all came together.. and it was great! Of course the kids were nervous to be "on stage" in front of their family.. but they did great! Past 2 weeks we have been rehearsing a lot with the kids of the Evonius School! And we believe they are ready for the school show that we have been working towards. After weekly lessons of Theater, Dance & Music .. it's coming together!!!

Practice brings confidence! In the past 3 months of our intensive Wak Mi 2 program, this time at special needs school Evonious in Koraal Specht, we again see the kids come out of their shells. What a regular dose of theater, dance and music development lessons can do for a child is amazing. That is why we love what we do!
