✈️ **Let’s go back to the basics!**

Sometimes, when we’re preparing for a cabin crew interview, we focus so much on difficult questions and impressive answers that we forget about the little things.

So today, let’s revise one of the most important verbs in English: **BE**.

Look at the three sentences on the picture:

**1️⃣ I am cabin crew.**
**2️⃣ I was cabin crew.**
**3️⃣ I will be cabin crew.**

Now tell me β€” **which one describes you?** πŸ‘‡

Are you:

1️⃣ Already cabin crew?
2️⃣ A former cabin crew member?
3️⃣ Dreaming of becoming cabin crew?

Write **1, 2, or 3** in the comments! ✈️

And if your English is a little rusty, but you’re preparing for a **cabin crew interview in English**, I’d be happy to help you.

Send me a message or comment **β€œINTERVIEW”** and we can book your **complimentary class**. 🀍

Sometimes, going back to the basics is the best way to move forward.

πŸ“š AVIATION ENGLISH TIP #2

πŸ’™ What's the first word that comes to your mind when you hear "teamwork"?

I'm curious...

Write just ONE word in the comments before reading the rest of this post. πŸ‘‡

(There are no right or wrong answers!)
..

Did you write your word? 😊

Here's today's Aviation English Word of the Day:

TEAMWORK

πŸ“– Definition:
Teamwork is the activity of working effectively with others to achieve a common goal.

Simple definition.

Powerful skill.

In aviation, teamwork isn't just appreciated...

It's essential.

Every successful flight depends on people working together.

✈️ Pilots

✈️ Cabin Crew

✈️ Engineers

✈️ Ground Staff

✈️ Air Traffic Controllers

Each person has a different role.

But everyone shares the same goal:

A safe and pleasant flight.

πŸ’‘ Now here's something many aspiring Cabin Crew candidates don't realise...

Recruiters aren't only looking for candidates with excellent English.

They're looking for people who know how to work with others.

So instead of simply saying:

"I'm a good team player."

Show them.

Tell a story.

Describe a situation where you worked together with others to solve a problem, support someone, or achieve a common goal.

That's what makes your answer memorable.

πŸ€” "But I've never worked for an airline..."

That's completely okay!

Teamwork isn't learned only on an aircraft.

Maybe you've...

πŸ’™ Helped your family organise a celebration.

πŸ’™ Worked on a school or university project.

πŸ’™ Supported colleagues during a busy shift.

πŸ’™ Played on a sports team.

πŸ’™ Volunteered in your community.

These experiences matter.

Recruiters want to know how you work with people, not whether you've already worn a Cabin Crew uniform.

🎯 Your challenge:

Think of one moment when teamwork helped you achieve something you couldn't have done alone.

Share it in the comments.

It can be from work, university, sports, volunteeringβ€”or even family life.

I'd genuinely love to read your stories, and you might inspire someone else who's preparing for their dream career. πŸ’™

✈️ Remember:

Great Cabin Crew members don't fly because they're exceptional individuals.

They succeed because they're exceptional teammates.

✈️ **Have you always dreamed of becoming cabin crew? Your journey starts with the first step.** πŸ’™

Many aspiring cabin crew members have the dream… but sometimes the hardest part is knowing:

✨ Where do I begin?
✨ What should I prepare before applying?
✨ How can I become a stronger candidate?
✨ What skills should I develop to feel more confident?

I know how exciting (and sometimes challenging) the beginning of an aviation journey can feel.

After my own experience as a flight attendant and now supporting future aviation professionals, I created a resource to help you take those first steps with more clarity and confidence.

πŸ—ΊοΈ **The Cabin Crew Roadmap β€” The 4-Step Plan Every Aspiring Cabin Crew Member Should Follow Before Applying** ✈️

Inside, you will discover the essential steps to start preparing for your cabin crew dream, including what to focus on before submitting your application.

πŸ’™ To receive your free Cabin Crew Roadmap, simply subscribe through the link below, and it will be sent directly to your inbox.

Your dream of wearing the uniform starts long before your first flight.

It starts with preparation.
It starts with learning.
It starts with believing that you can do it. ✈️

I would love to support you on your aviation journey.

✈️ Interview Tip #3: "What are your flaws?"

Let's be honest... this is probably one of the most uncomfortable interview questions. πŸ˜…

Many candidates think it's a trick question.

Some try to convince the recruiter that they don't have any flaws. Others choose an answer they believe sounds "perfect."

But here's the truth:

❀️ Recruiters already know that none of us is perfect.

They aren't looking for perfection. They're looking for honesty, self-awareness, and a willingness to learn.

During my own cabin crew interview preparation, I chose to share something I had genuinely noticed about myself.

I explained that I sometimes pay too much attention to details. While this can be a strength in aviation, I also realized that focusing on every little detail could sometimes become time-consuming or prevent me from seeing the bigger picture.

The most important part of my answer wasn't the weakness itselfβ€”it was explaining that I was aware of it and actively working on improving.

πŸ’‘ A small tip:
Not every weakness is suitable for this question.

Avoid mentioning weaknesses that are essential to the cabin crew role, such as:
❌ Being lazy or unmotivated
❌ Being unreliable
❌ Poor time management
❌ Disliking teamwork
❌ Ignoring rules or safety procedures

Instead, think about a constructive professional weaknessβ€”something real that doesn't stop you from doing your job well and that you're genuinely working to improve.

If you're preparing your own answer, ask yourself:

✨ What professional habit would I like to improve?
✨ What has it taught me?
✨ What am I doing to become better?
✨ How has this challenge helped me grow?

Remember...

🌱 Your weakness should never be the end of your story. It should be the beginning of your growth.

The best interview answers aren't the most impressive ones.

They're the most genuine. ❀️

Have you ever been asked this question during an interview? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments. πŸ‘‡

✈️ CABIN CREW MYTH vs. FACT #1

❌ MYTH: "The Open Day is just a place to drop off your CV."

βœ… FACT: The Open Day is much more than that.

It's your first opportunity to:
πŸ’™ Meet the recruiters.
πŸ’™ Learn more about the airline and the cabin crew role.
πŸ’™ Ask questions.
πŸ’™ Show professionalism and enthusiasm.
πŸ’™ Leave a memorable first impression.

Although the Open Day is usually not an assessment, recruiters are already getting to know you. The way you present yourself, communicate, and interact can influence whether you'll receive an invitation to the Assessment Day.

✨ Don't wait until the Assessment Day to start preparing.

Remember, your journey to becoming cabin crew begins the moment you walk through the door.

πŸ’¬ Have you ever attended an Open Day? What surprised you the most? Share your experience below!
