The General Assembly of Representatives (GAR) of the International Association of Civil Engineering Students (IACES) was convened on 1 October 2025 at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara.
As the highest decision-making body of IACES, the GAR functions as the union’s parliament. During the session, representatives voted on several amendments to the internal regulations, elected the General Board for the 2025/2026 term, and elected the members of the Press Center.
In addition, the Assembly voted to select the organizers of ACCESS 26, MTM 26, and the host of the ICEC Final Stage.
The GAR was held in a fully democratic atmosphere, with representatives actively participating in elections and engaging in extensive discussions about the future of IACES and the challenges facing the global community of civil engineering students. Annual reports were also presented and reviewed by the General Board.
