Projekat SmartMiner

Иако су првобитни план SmartMiner пројекта били пријава једног техничког решења и једног патента, у оквиру пројекта SmartMiner већ имамо верификовано ново техничко решење примењено на међународном нивоу, и два патента - један регистрован патент националног нивоа, као и поднету пријаву патента на међународном нивоу, чију објаву очекујемо ускоро. Дати резултати, уз 35 до сада објављених научних радова, представљају значајан допринос науци и привреди и указују на практичну применљивост врхунских научних резултата у развоју друштвено корисних технологија, производа и услуга са потенцијалом комерцијализације.

Although the SmartMiner project proposal plan was to apply for one technical solution and one patent, within the project we already have a verified new technical solution applied at the international level and two patents - one registered national patent, as well as a submitted patent application at the international level, the publication of which we expect soon. Those results, along with 35 scientific publications published so far, represent a significant contribution to science and industry and indicate the practical applicability of cutting-edge scientific results in the development of socially useful technologies, products and services with commercialization potential.

Одржан је завршни састанак стратешког прегледа пројекта SmartMiner који је пружио прилику да се размотре резултати научног пројекта, процењујући методологије, кључне налазе и изазове са којима смо се сусрели током његовог трајања. Разговарали смо о практичним импликацијама резултата, прегледали делотворност примењених стратегија и идентификовали области за будућа истраживања и развој. Ова сесија је такође помогла у излагању препорука за превођење резултата пројекта у реалне апликације и потенцијалне сарадње у будућности.

SmartMiner project Final Strategic Review Meeting was held and it provided an opportunity to reflect on the outcomes of the scientific project, assessing the methodologies, key findings, and challenges encountered throughout its course. We discussed the practical implications of the results, reviewed the effectiveness of the strategies employed, and identified areas for future research and development. This session also helped in outlining recommendations for translating the project’s findings into real-world applications and potential collaborations moving forward.

Још један значајан успех произашао је из резултата SmartMiner пројекта – покретање новог међународног пројекта Процена климе безбедности и перформанси чланова ланца снабдевања тешком механизацијом у Аустрији и Србији као алат за унапређење организационе отпорности - SafeCorner. Овај пројекат, реализован у оквиру билатералне сарадње са Техничким универзитетом у Грацу, представља корак напред, a учесници пројекта имали су прилику да посете Грац и учествују у конструктивним састанцима посвећеним анализи досадашњих резултата и дефинисању будућих корака. Осим радних активности, чланови тима уживали су и у јединственом амбијенту престижне манифестације Ball der Technik, која сваке године окупља водеће професоре, истраживаче, стручњаке и студенте. Овај догађај представљао је не само прилику за дружење, већ и за размену идеја, стварање нових контаката и инспирацију за будуће подухвате.

Another significant success came from the results of the SmartMiner project – the launch of a new international project Safety Climate and Performance Appraisal of Heavy Machinery Supply Chain Members in Austria and Serbia as a Resilience Enhancement Tool - SafeCorner. This project, implemented within the framework of bilateral cooperation with the Graz University of Technology, represents a step forward and the project participants had the opportunity to visit Graz. The constructive meetings dedicated to the analysis of the results achieved so far and the definition of future steps were held there. In addition to work activities, the team members also enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the prestigious Ball der Technik event, which brings together leading professors, researchers, experts and students every year. This event represented not only an opportunity to socialize, but also to exchange ideas, create new contacts and inspire future ventures.

Чланови тима SmartMiner пројекта учествовали су на два догађаја која је организовао Obuda University Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management (KGK) у Будимпешти. На 21. Интернационалној недељи, проф. др Весна Спасојевић Бркић и проф. др Иван Михајловић одржали су предавања за међународне студенте и то на теме “Organizational Systems Modeling Using Structural Equations” и “Using the AI to Assess, Measure and Improve the Organizational Resilience in the Mining Organizations”. Након Интернационалне недеље, уследила је конференција FIKUSZ 2024, посвећена младим истраживачима, на којој су професори одржали пленарно предавање под насловом “Organizational Resilience Assessment as the Indicator of the Sustainable and Human-Centered Industrial Organizations Transformation”, а учесница пројекта Мартина Перишић излагала је рад под насловом “Measuring Reliability and Validity of Operator - Mining Machine System’s Characteristics”. Захвални смо на овој одличној прилици да промовишемо наш пројекат и истовремено допринесемо развоју научне и индустријске заједнице у региону.

Team members of the SmartMiner participated in two events organized by Obuda University Keleti Károly Faculty of Business and Management (KGK) in Budapest. At the 21st International Week, Prof. Dr. Vesna Spasojević Brkić and Prof. Dr. Ivan Mihajlović gave lectures for international students on the topics “Organizational Systems Modeling Using Structural Equations” and “Using the AI to Assess, Measure and Improve the Organizational Resilience in the Mining Organizations”. The International Week was followed by the FIKUSZ 2024 conference, dedicated to young researchers, where the professors held a plenary lecture entitled “Organizational Resilience Assessment as the Indicator of the Sustainable and Human-Centered Industrial Organizations Transformation”, and project participant Martina Perišić presented a paper entitled “Measuring Reliability and Validity of Operator - Mining Machine System’s Characteristics”. We are grateful for this excellent opportunity to promote our project and at the same time contribute to the development of the scientific and industrial community in the region.

Институт за појас и пут у Београду организовао је у среду, 20. новембра, конференцију под називом Зелено одрживо рударство. На овом значајном скупу, поред водећих стручњака из области рударства и представника великих рударских компанија из земље и иностранства, учествовала је и проф. Весна Спасојевић Бркић, руководилац пројекта SmartMiner. Током свог излагања, проф. Спасојевић Бркић представила је овај иновативни пројекат који се фокусира на стварање одрживих и еколошки прихватљивих радних места у рударској индустрији. Такође, дискутовано је о могућностима будуће сарадње са рударским компанијама, што показује растући интерес и значај пројекта. SmartMiner из дана у дан привлачи све већу пажњу, а теме које обрађује постају све актуелније и важније на глобалном нивоу. Пoносни смо на напредак овог пројекта и на његову све већу популарност у свету рударства.

The Belt and Road Institute in Belgrade organised a conference entitled Green Sustainable Mining on Wednesday, November 20. In addition to leading experts in the field of mining and representatives of large mining companies from Serbia and abroad, this important gathering was also attended by Prof. Vesna Spasojević Brkić, PI of the SmartMiner project. During her presentation, Prof. Spasojević Brkić presented this innovative project that focuses on creating sustainable and environmentally friendly workplaces in the mining industry. The possibilities of future cooperation with mining companies were also discussed, which shows the growing interest and importance of the project. SmartMiner is attracting more and more attention every day, and the topics it addresses are becoming increasingly relevant and important on a global level. We are proud of the progress of this project and its growing popularity in the world of mining.

Учешће чланова пројектног тима SmartMiner на првом Сајму идеја и иновација у Бору
Дана 16. октобра 2024. године, у Бору је одржан први Сајам идеја и иновација, догађај који је окупио иноваторе, предузетнике и стручњаке из различитих области, са циљем да подстакне размену знања и напредних решења. Манифестацију је организовао Бизнис инкубатор центар у Бору, уз подршку локалне самоуправе Града Бора, што је био значајан корак у промовисању иновација и технолошког развоја на овом подручју. Овај Сајам је платформа за представљање нових технологија, али и за успостављање сарадње између академске заједнице и индустрије. На овој манифестацији чланови пројектног тима са Техничког факултета у Бору, Ђорђе Николић, Исидора Милошевић и Анђелка Стојановић, представили су опште циљеве и презентовали досадашње резултате пројекта SmartMiner.

The participation of SmartMiner team members at the first Fair of Ideas and Innovations in Bor
On October 16, 2024, the first Ideas and Innovations Fair was held in Bor, an event that brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, and experts from various fields with the goal of fostering the exchange of knowledge and advanced solutions. The event was organized by the Business Incubator Center in Bor, with the support of the local government of Bor, marking an important step in promoting innovation and technological development in the region. This fair served as a platform for showcasing new technologies and for establishing collaborations between the academic community and industry. At this event, members of the project team from the Faculty of Engineering in Bor, Đorđe Nikolić, Isidora Milošević, and Anđelka Stojanović, presented the general objectives and shared the progress and results achieved so far in their project, SmartMiner.

23. и 24. октобра 2024. године, у Загребу је одржана значајна конференција посвећена могућностима које нуди EIT Manufacturing заједница знања и иновација. Овај догађај окупио је водеће хрватске производне компаније, стартапе и чланове академске заједнице, пружајући платформу за размену искустава, знања и идеја. Конференција је укључивала занимљиве панел дискусије у којима су учесници имали прилику да чују стручна мишљења локалних лидера у индустрији. У оквиру другог дана конференције, учесник пројекта, Немања Јанев, је излагао рад под називом "Decision Support System for Ranking Risk Mitigation Measures at Mining Operator’s Workplace" у оквиру пројекта SmartMiner. Учешће на конференцији за нас представља кључну прилику за јачање наших веза са индустријом и академском заједницом, што ће допринети даљем развоју наших решења и иновација.

On October 23 and 24, 2024, an important conference dedicated to the opportunities offered by the EIT Manufacturing community of knowledge and innovation was held in Zagreb. This event brought together leading Croatian manufacturing companies, startups and members of the academic community, providing a platform for the exchange of experiences, knowledge and ideas. The conference included interesting panel discussions where participants had the opportunity to hear the expert opinions of local industry leaders. During the second day of the conference, the project participant, Nemanja Janev, presented a paper entitled "Decision Support System for Ranking Risk Mitigation Measures at Mining Operator's Workplace" within the SmartMiner project. Participation in the conference is a key opportunity for us to strengthen our ties with industry and the academic community, which will contribute to the further development of our solutions and innovations.

Проф. др Весна Спасојевић Бркић, руководилац пројекта SmartMiner, била је панелиста на међународној научној и стручној конференцији под насловом: “Системи критичне инфраструктуре у ери вештачке интелигенције”, која је одржана у организацији Центра за анализу ризика и управљање кризама, а уз подршку Министарства науке, технолошког развоја и иновација Републике Србије. Том приликом је у оквиру панела ПОБОЉШАЊЕ ОТПОРНОСТИ ИНФРАСТРУКТУРЕ КРОЗ КОЛАБОРАТИВНЕ ПРИСТУПЕ ИНТЕГРАЦИЈИ ВЕШТАЧКЕ ИНТЕЛИГЕНЦИЈЕ, представила пројекат и његове резултате на тему „Smartminer project as a roadmap to smart, green and sustainable mining machinery workplaces“, истакавши важност и значај истраживања пројекта SmartMiner. Пројекат је наишао на позитивне критике, а учесници су показали значајну заинтересованост за сам ток и резултате истог.

Prof. Dr. Vesna Spasojević Brkić, PI of the SmartMiner project, was a panelist at the international scientific and professional conference entitled: "Critical infrastructure systems in the era of artificial intelligence", organized by the Center for Risk Analysis and Crisis Management, and with support of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia. On that occasion, within panel ENHANCING INFRASTRUCTURE RESILIENCE THROUGH COLLABORATIVE APPROACHES TO AI INTEGRATION she presented the project and its results on topic „Smartminer project as a roadmap to smart, green and sustainable mining machinery workplaces“, highlighting the importance and significance of the SmartMiner research. The project received positive feedback, and the participants showed considerable interest in both the process and the outcomes.

Проф. др Екард Хелмерс, са Универзитета за примењене науке у Триру, Немачкој, члан саветодавног одбора пројекта SmartMiner, посетио је Машински факултет у Београду, где је одржао два предавања из области одрживости. Прво предавање под насловом „Sustainability subjects in university education“, истакло је значај имплементације предмета који се тичу одрживости на факултетима и универзитетима широм света. Друго предавање, под насловом „The sustainable campus“, проф. Хелмерс је, кроз примере различитих универзитета у свету, представио значај и могућности да универзитети кроз унапређење одрживости и примену декарбонизације значајно унапреде своју позицију и постану део зелене агенде. Приликом посете проф. Хелмерса, одржан је и састанак са учесницима пројекта SmartMiner, а организатор ове посете је проф. др Весна Спасојевић Бркић, руководилац пројекта SmartMiner.

Prof. Dr. Eckard Helmers, from the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, Germany, a member of the advisory board of the SmartMiner project, visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, where he gave two lectures in the field of sustainability. The first lecture, entitled "Sustainability subjects in university education", highlighted the importance of implementing sustainability subjects at colleges and universities around the world. The second lecture, entitled "The sustainable campus", prof. Helmers, through the examples of different universities in the world, presented the importance and opportunities for universities to significantly improve their position and become part of the green agenda through the improvement of sustainability and the application of decarbonization. During the visit of prof. Helmers, a meeting was held with the participants of the SmartMiner project, and the organizer of this visit was prof. Dr. Vesna Spasojević Brkić, the SmartMiner project PI.

Члан саветодавног одбора пројекта SmartMiner, проф. др Екард Хелмерс са Универзитета за примењене науке у Триру, у Немачкој, ће посетити Машински факултет у Београду и одржати предавања на теме: „Sustainability subjects in university education“ и „The sustainable campus“. Предавања ће бити одржана у четвртак, 24.10.2024. године, у читаоници Машинског факултета са почетком у 12 часова. Том приликом проф. Хелмерс ће представити значај одрживости, декарбонизације и решења на који начин универзитети/факултети могу да буду део зелене агенде.

Member of the advisory board of the SmartMiner project, prof. Dr. Eckard Helmers from the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, Germany, will visit the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and hold lectures on the topics: "Sustainability subjects in university education" and "The sustainable campus". The lectures will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the reading room of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, starting at 12. On that occasion, prof. Helmers will present the importance of sustainability, decarbonization and solutions on how universities/faculties can be part of the green agenda.
