Truly a great feeling when you get students whose values are aligned with yours and who can notice and appreciate the effort you put into your teaching.
One of my top values is definitely creativity, like David kindly noticed.
Creativity pushes me to keep experimenting with different learning approaches and it has grown my experience like nothing else.
Because what I’m slowly but surely realising is that it’s never just that one right approach but rather a combination of many, depending on the student’s level but also on the context, gramatical or lexical unit etc.
Where one approach hits a wall and simply can’t help a student to realize something, another will work like a charm 🙂
Keep the mind open and keep the creative juices flowing 🙂

My long term student Jeremy shared his view of our lessons 🙂
I really do strive to personalize all my lessons because what my 13 years of experience have shown me is that topic is one of the top 3 factors for successful learning.
If the topic is not interesting to you, you will not get curious and if you don’t get curious there is no true learning.
You do retain that information temporarily but it simply doesn’t stick and never becomes long term memory.
If you prefer personalised lessons and picking up Serbian through exploring topics YOU find fun and interesting, dm me for a consultation.
Looking forward to meeting you 🙂

Today's read 🙂📖💜
Belgrade's monument "Vozarev krst" (Vozar's Cross) keeps a very interesting and important story about the history of the Serbian people, which is for some reason little-known to the citizens of the Serbian capital. Old documents say that on one occasion Grigorije Vozarović (1790-1848), once "the biggest bookseller - publisher of his time in the Balkans", bought a meadow in Belgrade's neighborhood Vračar. On the field there was a tree with an inscription which, according to legend, marked the place where the Turkish Vizier Sinan Pasha burned the relics of Saint Sava in 1595. After one stormy night, the tree collapsed, and Vozarović, known as a great patriot, decided to place a big wooden cross in the same place. The "Serbian Newspapers" recorded a few details about the new cross that has enriched Belgrade, writing that "it was a great joy and comfort for all Orthodox Serbs". Influential bookseller died only a year after he placed his monumental cross. His property was inherited by his wife Sara, who bequeathed Grigorije's estate to the Palilula church. Vozar's cross is considered one of the first public monuments in , and it's been rebuilt on several occasions - 1895, 1923 and 1933. After the last reconstruction, the Belgrade municipality decided to replace the wooden cross with a new made of red artificial stone.
