Ready for June 8: DEFEMNHS Wraps Up Brigada Eskwela Day 5

On the fifth and final day of Brigada Eskwela on June 5, 2026, eight Girl Scouts of DEFEMNHS actively participated by assisting teachers and cleaning the school grounds. Guided by Field Adviser Ma'am Norma Paneda, Ma'am Brenda Lyn Hernandez, and other supportive Troop Leaders, the scouts spent the morning ensuring the campus environment was immaculate and well-prepared for the incoming learners.

By the afternoon, the momentum shifted to the Agoo Farmers' Gymnasium for the official Closing Program, which commenced at 2:00 PM with Ma'am Grace Rivera serving as the master of the ceremony. Following a warm welcome from Ma'am Marilen Panay, the respective curriculum chairmen took the stage to represent their grade levels, highlighting classroom readiness, enrollment figures, and ongoing assessments.

Ma'am Michelle Dacanay reported that the Grade 7 curriculum is 90% ready with 381 enrollees, Grade 8 Curriculum Chairman Ma'am Gemma Arcangel declared her tier 90% ready, Ma'am Joanna Caoile and Sir Alvin Doctolero presented the status updates for Grades 9 and 10, and Grade 11 Chairman Ma'am Glorifina Dacanay stated that the Senior High School level is 80% prepared.

Afterwards, Ma'am Charity Gapuz delivered a comprehensive transparency report regarding the various donations received throughout the week.

This was immediately followed by the awarding of certificates, where the school's Head Teachers honored the dedicated faculty, participating community organizations, and the active members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

The head teachers also led a special moment of recognition to express sincere gratitude to ChinaBank Savings for their generous corporate donation and support.

With the collaborative efforts of student leaders, teachers, volunteers, and external stakeholders, this year's mobilization is finally a wrap. Thanks to the overwhelming spirit of bayanihan, the entire DEFEMNHS campus is fully prepared and energized for the official opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

Committed Scouts Lead the Way on Day 4 of Brigada Eskwela

Small acts of service can change the world, and today, our student leaders proved just that. On June 4, 2026, marking the fourth day of Brigada Eskwela, three devoted Girl Scouts and one Boy Scout took the initiative to transform the camepus through pure hard work and volunteerism.

Driven by a shared commitment to their school community, these four young leaders spent the day assisting various teachers across different departments. They took on essential tasks—helping educators arrange classrooms, organize learning modules, and clean instructional spaces.

The finish line is finally in sight. Tomorrow, Friday, marks the fifth and final day of this year's Brigada Eskwela. The school administration and student leaders call upon all students, parents, and community stakeholders to match the passion shown by these scouts. Let’s join forces for one last massive push tomorrow, finish strong, and make the DEFEMNHS campus fully ready for our learners! 💚

Empowered to Serve: Scouts and Educators Convene for Brigada Eskwela Day 3

On June 3, 2026, the spirit of volunteerism and community welfare took center stage at the Agoo Farmers' Gymnasium for Day 3 of Brigada Eskwela. Under the guidance of Ma’am Brenda Lyn Hernandez, Sir Rodrigo Romero, and dedicated troop leaders, two proactive Girl Scouts and one Boy Scout stepped up to join in this vital community effort.

The highlight of the morning was an informative and highly relevant seminar conducted by a team of medical doctors, aimed at equipping everyone with essential health and wellness knowledge.

The morning kicked off at 9:00 AM with a massive turnout at the gymnasium. The seminar brought together the entire school community, including all teaching and non-teaching personnel, learners, and parents. To ensure complete participation, the Curriculum Chairs strictly monitored attendance by grade level using the official Brigada Eskwela forms.

While regular enrollment was temporarily paused for the morning to give way to this important health session, the spirit of service didn't stop when the doctors finished speaking.

Immediately following the seminar, the two Girl Scouts and the Boy Scout rolled up their sleeves to assist the teachers. The scouts helped with various school preparation tasks to ensure a safe and organized environment before enrollment resumed later that day.

While there may not be visual records to capture these moments, the grit, perseverance, and tireless energy they poured into their responsibilities left a lasting impression that far outlasts any photograph.

The doors of volunteerism remain wide open. We invite more parents, learners, and community stakeholders to share their time, strength, and resources. Let us continue to build a safer, healthier, and more resilient school environment for our children. Together, kaya natin ito! 💪
