近日，华侨大学组织港澳台侨学生开展“行见八闽”研习营活动🗺️。
畲族文化研习营和闽南文化研习营的师生营员分赴宁德、霞浦及漳州等地，通过实地参访、非遗体验、现场教学等形式，探寻畲族文化与闽南文化，感受八闽大地的历史底蕴与山海魅力⛰️。
在宁德与霞浦，“行见八闽”畲族文化研习营师生走进福鼎白茶文化主题博物馆🍵，了解白茶制作技艺与发展历史。在“中国扶贫第一村”赤溪村，营员们学习该村从贫困走向小康的蜕变历程，感悟脱贫攻坚精神。在半月里畲族历史文化名村，营员们参访龙溪宫、雷氏古厝等文保建筑🏯，参观畲族民间博物馆，并体验穿戴凤凰服饰、打糍粑、跳竹竿舞等非遗活动🎋，感受畲族传统文化。
在漳州，“行见八闽”闽南文化研习营师生参访明代海上丝绸之路始发港——月港古镇⚓，回望昔日通商海外的繁华岁月。在漳州古城，大家先后参访城市记忆馆、非遗展示馆、灯谜博物馆🏮，并观看沉浸式演艺《再回闽南》。
本次活动让青年学子走出校园、深入乡土，在行走实践中增进对畲族文化与闽南文化的认知，进一步增强了港澳台侨青年对中华优秀传统文化的认同感与归属感。

On June 14, the Chen Mingrun Dragon Boat Pavilion was officially inaugurated at Huaqiao University. As the first dragon boat pavilion among Chinese institutions of higher education, the facility is architecturally inspired by the image of a racing dragon boat cleaving through the waves, embodying the spirit of Chinese culture: “harmony in diversity, and unity in striving forward.” It will serve both as the “Culture China·Chinese Arts (Dragon Boat) Training Base” under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and as Huaqiao University’s dragon boat training center, providing a high-level training venue for students from both China and abroad, and offering an important platform for connecting overseas Chinese worldwide and promoting Chinese culture.

Chen Mingrun remarked that, as a overseas Chinese who remains deeply attached to his homeland, he places great importance on the preservation and dissemination of traditional culture. He expressed his hope that the Dragon Boat Pavilion will provide excellent training conditions for students, inspire more young people to embrace dragon boat culture, and, leveraging the university’s unique strengths as an institution with overseas Chinese ties, continuously spread the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival and dragon boat heritage to the world, ensuring that the fine traditions of Chinese culture are passed down from generation to generation.

On June 13, the inaugural session of Huaqiao University’s International Communication KOL Program (Phase 1) officially commenced. The program brings together 22 campus influencers from countries and regions including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Myanmar.

Huaqiao University is home to young students from over 100 countries and regions worldwide, providing a rich foundation for international communication. This KOL Program selects campus influencers who already have experience managing social media accounts and provides them with one year of systematic training. The 22 participants come from 11 different schools and colleges, representing diverse backgrounds and content areas such as daily life vlogging, food exploration, sports, and cultural observations.

The program is designed to leverage Huaqiao University’s unique character as a university run with a focus on overseas Chinese affairs. It aims to cultivate a group of “Gen Z” key opinion leaders (KOLs) who are passionate about Chinese culture and possess strong cross-cultural communication skills. Through a youth-oriented perspective and approaches tailored to online communication, these young influencers will help present a true, multi-dimensional, and comprehensive picture of China to the world, thereby promoting cross-cultural dialogue and mutual learning between civilizations.

🌍 30 Years of Minning Cooperation: Bridging Mountains and Seas for Shared Development 🍃
From May 11 to 16, international students from Huaqiao University, hailing from four Southeast Asian countries, visited Minning Town and Pengyang County in Ningxia. They explored wineries, modern agricultural bases, ecological terraces, and historic revolutionary sites 🏞️, witnessing firsthand the transformation of barren Gobi desert into a livable and thriving rural landscape 🏜️➡️🏘️.
Through their lenses, the young students documented these changes, capturing stories and sharing their impressions 🎬. While filming, exploring, interviewing, and creating, they conveyed, from the authentic perspective of overseas youth, the cross-regional partnership and friendship, and vividly illustrated China’s rural revitalization in action.

HQU Achieves Best-Ever Results in 14th Fujian ”Challenge Cup“ College Student Business Plan Competition and 15th Fujian ”Entrepreneurship Star“ Contest🏆
From May 31 to June 2, the finals of the 14th Fujian Provincial ”Challenge Cup“ College Student Business Plan Competition and the 15th Fujian Provincial ”Entrepreneurship Star“ Contest were held at Fujian Jiangxia University. Huaqiao University (HQU) achieved groundbreaking results in both events. ✨
In the ”Challenge Cup“ competition, HQU won 4 Grand Prizes, 6 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes, and 3 Third Prizes. The total number of Grand and First Prizes ranked HQU first in the province (tied with another institution). Notably, students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas participated in 6 of the finalist projects, accounting for 50% of HQU’s total entries.
In the ”Entrepreneurship Star“ contest, HQU secured 1 Gold Award and 2 Silver Awards, marking a new record for the total number of awards received. In the Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship Special Category of the ”Challenge Cup“, HQU additionally won 3 First Prizes and 1 Second Prize.
