Our XIS Chess Team recently took part in the ISOCL 2025–2026 Autumn Challengers Battle, delivering an outstanding performance by placing 2nd overall and earning multiple top-ten individual finishes. Throughout the competition, our students played with patience and maturity—making few errors, avoiding unnecessary sacrifices, finding effective forks to pressure opponents, and staying calm and focused at the board. Just as importantly, they supported one another off the board: practices were positive and collaborative, stronger players mentored those newer to the game, and the entire team learned and improved together while having fun.

This tournament was valuable preparation for the upcoming ACAMIS Chess Tournament, to be hosted at International School of Nanshan Shenzhen on January 30. We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Spears for his hard work and dedication in guiding and inspiring our students as the XIS chess programme continues to grow.

XIS Students took to Shenzhen this weekend to compete in the ACAMIS Regional VEX IQ Robotics Tournament. Our students came 20th out of 50 Teams at the Tournament and narrowly missed the cutoff for the National Tournament in Shanghai next month. Go Dolphins!

Xiamen International School is proud to have hosted the ACAMIS U19 Basketball Invitational this past weekend. We are delighted to welcome teams from the International School of Beijing, Caeyu International School of Foshan, Independent Schools Foundation Academy, Qingdao Amerasia International School, and ISA Science City International School.

The tournament opened with a warm and welcoming ceremony, highlighted by a wonderful performance from our student band—setting an energetic, celebratory tone for the days ahead. We’re grateful to all participating schools and proud of the sportsmanship and community spirit on display.

Our U12 Boys Basketball Team made their debut at the FISSCA Tournament (hosted by OCAC) this Saturday—and performed above expectations!

Facing tough opponents from OCAC, FLIS, and SSF, our Dolphins showed grit, resilience, and unbreakable team spirit. No matter the score, they lifted each other up, celebrated every effort, and learned with every play.

Proud to share: they fought their way to the medal round and took home BRONZE! This medal is a testament to their skill, unity, and heart. 💪

🏊‍♂️ Our XIS Swim Team triumphed as the overall champions at the recent XIS Invitational Swim Meet on November 22, 2025! Competing against 90 swimmers from four schools, our 25 talented athletes showcased their skill and determination.

A huge shoutout to Coach Sal for his mentorship, which was key to our success. Our swimmers' hard work truly paid off as they prepare for the upcoming ACAMIS Swim Invitationals.

Special thanks to our XIS Student Ambassadors for their incredible support in organizing the event and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
