Following his reception by Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, 2025 China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award winner Professor Martin Green (UNSW Sydney, “Father of Modern Photovoltaics”) visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).

HUST Party Secretary Liu Bo warmly met Prof. Green and his delegation on July 9, congratulating him on the prestigious award.

HUST and Prof. Green share a deep bond since the 1980s — from his early lectures on solar cells at our university to decades of joint research.

His pioneering PERC technology has become the global mainstream for high-efficiency solar cells, powering China‘s PV leadership and the global green transition.
