In 2021, the School of Economics (SOE) of Fudan University is going to provide a series of 16 courses in economics, finance, management, data science, etc. By tapping into the world-class resources of Fudan University, we aim to bring you an exciting and enriching summer!

Work Arrangements
We look for a Full-Time contract English Instructor to teach an advanced-level undergraduate English language enhancement course, giving students advices to improve their English, and help with some school level documents reviewing. The purpose of the course is to improve the students’ ability in reading, writing and communication in English. There will be two lectures and 12 hours for office hour every week.

This role is from September 1st, 2019 to July 30th, 2022. The contract will be renewed subject to favorable evaluation.

Job Requirements
We hope the successful candidates are the native English Speaker holding a Ph.D.in English Language & Literature. It is better to provide evidence of successful instruction of junior or senior undergraduate courses in English. Experience with various pedagogical strategies, and are familiar with a post-secondary teaching environment. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- Knowledge of design and development of undergraduate English courses.
- Knowledge of current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g., videoconferencing).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Student Focused;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization;
- A high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.

Pay band
Salary: RMB 350,000 / year

On July 27th, Summer Camp on Chinese Economy and Society 2018 by School of Economics, Fudan University held its closing ceremony, thus putting the two-week program to a full end. The program included twenty-two 90-minute lectures, three company tours and various other activities. More than 100 students around the world joined the program and enjoyed their time at the summer camp.

Wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

On Sep. 5th, over 100 international students came for registration at School of Economics Fudan to start their new semester. These students include exchange students, visiting students and EMA degree students. The International Programs Office prepared a two-day orientation including Fudan campus tour, guidance on the course enrollment and library system and Shanghai city tour. On Sep. 11th the students will start their class, followed by a big party on Sep. 15th.

Prof. Zhang Jun, Dean of School of Economics, Fudan University, published his article on Project Syndicate. The article focuses on the city-led growth in China.

Students took part in the Taichi class and practiced how to defend themselves using Taichi fight skills.

The group visited Zhejiang JIanhua Group, a company that has grown from a village-scale glove manufacturer to a top 100 service company in Zhejiang Province. Meanwhile there is also sight-seeing, hiking as well as traditional cultural experience such as paining umbrellas, making kites and fans, etc.
