Why Great Videos Are Critical to Future Success

Let’s begin with some good news: you can be comfortable, fully yourself, and speak your truth on video—even if you’re gentle, self-conscious, highly intelligent, or eager to avoid the clichés that flood the online space.

In fact, you can express everything you want to be on video without ever wearing a mask or pretending to be someone you’re not.

Why is there so much noise online? Could it be that many feel lost in the digital chaos?

Is that why we gravitate toward sensational news? Have we confused shock for meaningful discourse, succumbing to the notion that, as Rupert Murdoch said, “If it bleeds, it leads”?

If so, remember this: in itself, shock is neither meaningful nor sustainable as a means of communication.

What we need are sophisticated, deeper forms that transcend shallow tricks and mere hacks.

That’s when video evolves from a business tool into something resembling an art form, leveraging the very communication techniques used by the greatest performers on the planet.

Of course, great performers aren’t necessarily great people. We know all too well of many talented actors who lack integrity.

Their communication skills are agnostic—the same methods that Gandhi used were also employed by those like Hi**er.

I can’t predict your moral compass, nor would I even attempt to.

What I can do is show you how to bring your expertise to your videos in a way that’s far more intriguing and meaningful than the cheap dross that threatens to drown us.

If you appreciate great films and view the depth of 1920s Hollywood as leagues beyond today’s superficial offerings, you surely want your videos to reflect that depth.

When it comes time to capture attention, educate, entertain, and enlighten, why limit yourself to the language of an eighth grader?

You can - and indeed you must - focus on intelligent, sophisticated clients who seek something unique and inimitable.

Perhaps you wrestle with how to convey who you are and what you believe in a way that truly encapsulates your wealth of knowledge and complexity.

You certainly don’t want to bow to the commercial machine or produce sleek, vacuous, loud, or aggressive videos.

Now, you may well have heard that clients want fast wins, right?

However, if you’ve honed your expertise over the years, how can you provide quick wins without cheapening your offer and dumbing down that very expertise?

Here’s the solution: when we refine and purify our communication skills, like we would the finest silver sword, we create not a weapon but a blade that brings light.

By enhancing our communication intelligence, which I label as "charisma" or even "charismagic," we improve our ability to share our gifts with others.

Let's face it, communication can either divide or unite us. Our capacity to convey subtle, nuanced, and delicate ideas will foster a finer mutual understanding, deeper compassion, and ultimately shared wisdom.

Why shouldn’t we bring our multifaceted selves into play when communicating through video?

Why must we reduce everything to its lowest common denominator?

I can only assume that those who encourage this simplification lack intellectual depth or have some political agenda aimed at reducing us to virtual idiocy.

I call on you to build a business based on deep foundations.

Together, let’s banish the bland, counter the clichéd, trounce tired formulas, and smash stale scripts!

Let’s stand against all forms of ignorance, before our reactions and responses become more predictable than those of machines!

It’s time for us to champion humanity.

We live in a critical time—a golden opportunity to move past the mundane and explore deeper realms.

And when it comes to expressing human subtlety, there’s no better medium than video.

Video allows us to capture and combine body language, tone, facial expressions, thoughts, and feelings in a compelling format.

This isn’t easy; but it is a necessity.

Because when we create videos that resonate with others, that draw them in like iron filings to a magnet, there’s no more powerful, persuasive, or positive medium.

Yet, too many marketing mavens misuse this precious art.

Ironically, those who find the most success often wield power dangerously and harmfully.

They encourage not generosity, but greed. They promote not commonality, but aggrandisement. They promise not enchantment, but enchainment.

It’s time to change.

Quiet, gentle, perhaps shy but passionate individuals can indeed express their expert value with confidence.

My mission is to offer you a solution, to extend a branch of hope, and to illuminate this dark, tangled world of confusion and competition. Instead, let’s communicate with clarity and in collaboration.

Just as eyes are said to be windows into the soul, videos are windows into our world.

They shrink the world while expanding our communication potential, allowing for the full measure of human playfulness, creativity, and joy—what other medium so fully integrates these qualities into our daily expression?
