Speaker: George Guida
Join us for a live session with George Guida, Founder and CEO of xFigura.
George is also an Adjunct Professor at Harvard GSD and co-founder of ArchiTAG. In this session, he introduces xFigura, an AI-powered creative canvas for architecture and design that combines text generation, image creation, and 3D model generation on a single platform.
What is xFigura?
xFigura is built to help architects and designers work more fluidly across concepts, images, and 3D form.
Why does it matter?
As AI becomes more embedded in design practice, the real opportunity is not only faster output, but better creative workflows that support exploration, iteration, and design development across multiple media.
This session explores how AI is opening new possibilities for architecture and design.

Session 3
Albena Yaneva (Politecnico di Torino)
Andrew Ballantyne (University of Newcastle)
This is the third in a series of discussions about the supposed crisis in architectural theory. What has happened to architectural theory? Why does it not have the same force that it used to have? What can be done to rekindle interest in the kind of deep philosophical debates that used to be so central to architectural theory?

THE DEEPFAKE CRISIS
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4AKpMap-Hs
This session brings together Neil Leach and Saetbyeol LeeYouk to discuss the growing problem of AI deepfakes.
Neil Leach has written extensively on Jean Baudrillard’s ideas about simulacra and simulation, and is now looking at the potential use of AI to produce political deepfake videos.
Saetbyeol LeeYouk is a research assistant in the Critical Matter Group at MIT Media Lab, undertaking research with survivors and activists on the topic of sexual deepfakes.
