Beyond the Classroom: Discovering Future Pathways Through Career Week
How do students begin to discover their future pathways?
During Career Week, Harrow Nanning G9-G12 students stepped beyond the classroom and into the real world. From traditional Chinese medicine and finance to global business, exhibition management, and scientific research, they experienced a diverse range of industries first-hand. More than career exploration, these experiences challenged students to think critically, collaborate with others, and reflect on their own interests and strengths.

At Harrow Nanning, we believe that meaningful learning happens when students connect knowledge with real-world experiences—and Career Week is one way we help them do just that.

🐉 Duanwu Ankang! ☀️

Our students at Harrow LiDe School Nanning explored the story of Qu Yuan and learned about the traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival, gaining a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture.

While there was no dragon boat race this year, our community came together for a day of water fun, laughter, and summer spirit! 🌊😊

🎈 Happy Children's Day! 🎈
Yesterday, our wonderful Parents-Teacher Association (PTA) prepared thoughtful gift packages for all of our pupils, bringing smiles and joy to every child. It was a heartwarming reminder of the care, support, and dedication that make our school community so special.

On this Children's Day, regardless of our age, we hope everyone can keep a child's heart—full of curiosity, wonder, courage, and dreams. May we continue to pursue our aspirations with enthusiasm and embrace life with the same happiness and innocence that children do.

This week, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Ms McColl, the Head of AISL Harrow Hongkong to AISL Harrow Nanning for a meaningful and inspiring visit.

Ms McColl participated in a round table discussion with our students and Senior Leadership Team, joined by Mr Beach, our educational consultant and former Head of Primary at AISL Harrow Bangkok.

It was particularly inspiring to see our Nanning students contribute with such enthusiasm, confidence, and thoughtful insight, demonstrating both strong spirit and impressive ideas ready to engage with the wider world.

Days like this remind us of what makes the Harrow community so special: a shared commitment to developing future leaders who think globally while acting with integrity and purpose. Proud of our students, our guests, and the entire community for making this such a meaningful and uplifting occasion.

💌 A special flower delivery filled with love

On 5/20 (in Chinese, “520” sounds like “ Love you”), a sweet surprise took place on campus ✨

Students pre-ordered customized bouquets through the Upper School student council,and each bouquet was carefully delivered to its designated recipient 💐📦

Every flower carried gratitude, blessings, and heartfelt appreciation ❤️

What makes this project even more meaningful is that it also helped raise funds for upcoming summer party 🎉

What is a day in a Chinese primary school like? 🇨🇳✨

Our international primary students recently spent half a day at Minzhu Primary School in Nanning for a meaningful cultural exchange.

From joining local classes to making new friends, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and shared experiences. A special highlight was an exciting hands-on science lesson with Mr. Law! 🔬

This visit was a wonderful reminder that learning goes beyond the classroom — it builds bridges between cultures, communities, and friendships.

From the deepest oceans to the wildest forests, his storytelling has revealed nature in all its power, beauty, and fragility — inspiring generations to care, reflect, and act for our planet.

At AISL Harrow Nanning, we are proud to honour him through one of our House names. His curiosity, courage, and humility continue to remind our students that learning is about more than knowledge — it’s about wonder, responsibility, and purpose.

Last week, we proudly hosted TEDx Harrow Nanning Youth—and what an inspiring celebration it was! 🌍✨

This year, we embraced the theme “Global Ideas, Local Lives”, bringing powerful perspectives to the stage and connecting big thinking with real-world impact. Our students stepped forward with confidence, sharing thoughtful, creative, and meaningful ideas that truly resonated with the audience.

From insights on art, technology, and education to reflections on life and our changing world, the breadth of knowledge and curiosity on display was remarkable.

Equally inspiring were the efforts behind the scenes. Our students took on vital roles as designers, ushers, and organizers—demonstrating teamwork, dedication, and a true community spirit that made the event possible.

🎶🌸 Voices, Colors, and Celebration: Sanyuesan Comes Alive at Harrow Nanning! 🌸🎶Harrow LiDe School Nanning

Our campus came alive with rhythm and celebration as students and teachers explored Sanyuesan—a vibrant traditional festival of the Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi.

From the lively exchange of folk songs to the graceful movements of traditional dance, students were immersed in the spirit of this joyful celebration. Along the way, they also learned about the rich cultural symbols of Sanyuesan—from beautifully crafted embroidery balls to the meaning behind five-colour treasure sticky rice and other cherished traditions.

More than just a celebration, it was a journey into culture—where stories, artistry, and heritage came to life.
