Big things happen when organizations come together for a shared vision.

At Alibaba Global Initiatives, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive innovation and unlock opportunities. Thats why were beyond thrilled to partner with DTEA (Digital Transformation Ethiopia Association) with the support from Ministry of Innovation and Technology - Ethiopia for the Global Digital Talent Academy and its first training program. This initiative is more than a programit's a gateway to nurturing the next generation of Ethiopian entrepreneurs and empowering them with the skills to thrive in the digital era.

A huge thank you to the dedicated team at DTEA, Fikir Andargachew, Baheru Zeyenu, Begashaw Bayleyegne Tizazu, Belete Molla Getahun, Yesunew Hailu, Solomon Sisay who made this vision a reality. Your hard work is the foundation of success, and your impact will be felt for years to come.

We are elated to have hosted yet another triumphant bootcamp cohort (the final cohort in Fiscal Year 2025) at our global headquarters situated in Hangzhou!
Within this cohort, there are 33 entrepreneurs hailing from Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. It was an utter delight to have this exceptionally talented group of individuals in our company, engaging in joint learning and growth. From comprehensive and in - depth training sessions to immersive cultural experiences, we are delighted that they were able to savor the finest aspects of Alibaba and Hangzhou. Hearty congratulations to the graduates of our bootcamp!
We take great pride in having been a part of their journey and are eagerly anticipating the profound impact they will undoubtedly make.
Furthermore, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ginz Ooi, our alumnus, to come back to the class for serving as a mentor and judge, generously sharing his/her experience and profound insights with the rest of the classmates.

On 9th December, Alibaba Global Initiatives inaugurated our second cohort of the Alibaba Netpreneur Bootcamp at Alibaba's Global Headquarters in Hangzhou. Undoubtedly, it is an exhilarating learning odyssey during which participants will acquaint themselves with the latest trends in digital commerce practice in China, the novel AI applications at Alibaba and Cainiao in the e-commerce and logistics sectors, and how entrepreneurs harness the new technology to innovate and construct their global businesses from the ground up. Additionally, our fellow entrepreneurs foster their friendships and establish connections with one another. We anticipate that it will be an indelible journey for everyone in their lives.
