Latest research from the Tiannan Guo Lab at Westlake University School of Medicine, published in Nature: The team has created an anatomically resolved human proteome atlas, quantifying 13,609 proteins across 58 major tissue types and 25 carcinomas.

The study features:
🧬 A spatial proteome map covering fetal, adult, adjacent non-tumor, and tumor tissues
🧬 Tissue-specific protein signatures that refine human proteome annotation
🧬 Systematic characterization of cancer-associated protein changes across multiple tumor types
🧬 Tumor-specific protein features with implications for cancer biology and therapeutic target discovery
🧬 An open-access database, ProteinTalks (db.prottalks.com), to enable proteome exploration and support drug discovery research

New progress in the study of high-temperature superconductivity in cuprates

Prof. Jie Wu's team at Westlake discovered the coexistence and intertwining of nematic order and d‑wave superconductive order within the superconducting fluctuation regime in cuprate superconductor thin films.

⚡Encasing Catalysts in a "Sponge Suit"

Prof. Biaobiao Zhang and Prof. Tao Wang at Westlake University have developed a sponge-like SnOâ‚‚ catalyst capable of confining hydroxide ions while excluding protons under low potassium ion concentrations. This design facilitates highly efficient and stable electrochemical reduction of COâ‚‚ to HCOOH.
