Now let’s demonstrate the difference between using a traditional anchor and a Trolling Motor.
We’re timing the whole process: pulling anchor and moving to a new fishing spot.

First, the traditional anchor.
An anchor weighs dozens of kilos. You need a windlass to haul it up slowly.
And you have to repeat this every time you switch fishing grounds.

Do you know how outrageous the claimed thrust ratings are on some trolling motors these days?

Yesterday we did a side-by-side pull test for three units.
One competitor advertises 130 lbs thrust, but we only measured around 88 lbs in real testing.
Five captains watched the test. Nobody believed the number at first, so we ran the test twice.

Don’t trust marketing specs only. Check real thrust.
Grab a digital hanging scale. Tie one end to the shore, connect the other to your trolling motor. Run it at max speed, then read the result. 1 lb ≈ 0.45 kg.

That competitor’s 130 lbs model costs 26,800 RMB, but only hits 88 lbs actual thrust.
