Coupled with innovations that range from bacteriophage therapy to CRISPR interventions to AI-assisted drug design, a paradigm shift is being witnessed. A comprehension of these trends can benefit both reputable and early-career researchers to solve global problems. Maaz brings over 5 years of experience in Electrical Building Services/MEP Engineering, with a strong background in sustainability, design consultancy, and site ex*****on across hospitality, residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. His expertise covers the full project lifecycle from concept design to authority approvals and as-built documentation.

Beyond his professional excellence, Maaz has a genuine passion for mentoring youth and helping others grow in their careers. He has continuously guided and supported fresh graduates who often find themselves uncertain after completing their studies. His dedication to uplifting others and sharing his knowledge has inspired many, and it is this very spirit that aligns perfectly with Iltiqa’s mission.

We are proud to share that the new logo of the South African Chemical Institute (SACI) was designed right here at UNIT313!

Unveiled at a special SACI event attended by over 60 members, the winning logo—crafted by our own Mehran A. Yousafzai in collaboration with SACI member Mercy Nduni—features a stylised round-bottom flask forming the letter “C,” alongside the outline of South Africa. Infused with SACI’s signature blue and gold, the design beautifully captures SACI’s identity and mission.

The event celebrated the creative minds behind SACI’s new brand identity. We’re proud that Mercy and Mehran were honoured for contributing a thoughtful and symbolic design that reflects SACI’s purpose and vision.

Not only on local scale, the milestone took centre stage internationally at the Commonwealth Chemistry Congress in Stellenbosch (11–14 May), showcasing SACI’s renewed identity on a global platform.

As Prof. Zenixole Tshentu, President of SACI, beautifully said: “The logo and slogan will outlive us.” And we couldn’t agree more.
