To encourage current PolyU MATI students to sit the China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University proposes that current MATI students (i.e. 22-23 cohort) who pass CATTI Level 2 or 3 tests to be held this November will receive a subsidy of HK$800 (which is more or less equivalent to 50% of the examination fees) as well as a certificate of commendation from the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies. Inter CATTI (short for Chinese Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters, International) in the second half of 2022 is open to registration now. Candidates for Chinese-English, Chinese-Japanese, Chinese-Korean and Chinese-Malaysian tests can register and sign up on www.catticenter.com.

It is organized by China International Communications Group (CICG) and regarded as an important component of China Translation Proficiency Evaluation System. It has been listed as a key project to build up China’s international communication capability and open to all candidates worldwide including those in China.
