Chevening In Cameroon

Congratulations to our 2025/2026 🇨🇲Chevening class, who are heading to the UK for their Master’s studies fully funded under the scholarships.

The British High Commission UK in Cameroon hosted a send-off reception for the 2025 class of scholars at the British Residence in Yaounde on Wednesday, September 4, 2025. The scholars will pursue studies in the UK across diverse fields, including Climate and Nature, Finance, Public Health, and Development Studies, at various universities.

Our 🇨🇲Chevening community have continued to make an extraordinary impact and contribute to driving impact across the continent and globe.

Chevening Alumnus, Felix Fomengia met with H.E. William Ruto, President of The Republic of Kenya 🇰🇪, as part of the 2nd Africa-CARICOM Summit which brought together African nations, Caribbean states, and the global African diaspora.

The summit which took placed at the African Union Commission aimed to strengthen unity, deepen integration, and jointly pursue reparations and reparatory justice through a comprehensive transcontinental partnership framework.
UK in Cameroon,

We are proud to see some of our 🇨🇲Chevening Alumni, taking part in the second part of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution, including in the marine environment.

The conference, taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, brings together global experts and negotiators with hopes of achieving a historic treaty to end plastic pollution and protect human health and the environment for present and future generations.

We are delighted to celebrate Dr. Lundi-Anne Omam, Chevening Alumna, on her graduation from the University of Cambridge with a PhD focused on Primary Health Care Delivery Models in Conflict-Affected Regions of Cameroon and Nigeria.

This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to her dedication to strengthening health systems in some of the world’s most fragile settings.
