Cameroon to the World: Toghu takes over Nairobi! 🇨🇲🦒🇰🇪
When the INDEV team visits the iconic Nairobi Giraffe Centre, we don’t just show up—we represent! Of course, we had to showcase our rich culture by wearing our beautiful, traditional Cameroon Toghu for this unforgettable experience. 🌟✨
Watching our learners and educators stand proudly in our heritage while interacting with these gentle giants was a moment of pure magic. This trip is all about breaking boundaries, and today, we did it in style!
Our traditional attire didn't just turn heads; it sparked beautiful conversations about Cameroon, unity, and our mission for inclusion. We are building global citizens, one proud cultural moment at a time. 🌍🧩
Drop a "🇨🇲" if you love seeing our culture shine bright in East Africa! 👇

Looking back, what was the very first sign or milestone that led you to seek out a specialist or therapist for your child?

When it comes to your child’s development, knowing who is guiding them changes everything. Today, we are incredibly proud to introduce our Founder and Director, Fonyuy Betty Nancy
Betty is a passionate Cameroonian special educator, speech and language therapist, and behavioral analyst with over 9 years of hands-on experience supporting neurodivergent children and their families.
Her guiding philosophy is simple but powerful:
"Every child deserves support, understanding, and the opportunity to thrive."
Through her specialized leadership, INDEV Network Africa has become a sanctuary where children with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and learning difficulties don't just stay—they grow, communicate, and build real-world functional skills.
Whether she is guiding our team of specialists or coaching parents with practical home strategies, Betty’s mission is to unlock the unique potential inside every single learner.

Parents, what is the biggest misconception people have about your child's disability?
Splashing through barriers! 🏊♂️💦✨
Yesterday, our Douala field trip took us to the pool, and the breakthroughs were absolutely beautiful to witness.
For many neurodivergent learners, the water is a magical place. Swimming isn't just fun; it’s an incredible therapeutic tool that helps our pupils:
🔹 Regulate Sensory Systems: The deep pressure of water acts like a calming hug for the nervous system.
🔹 Build Core Strength: Navigating the pool enhances balance, coordination, and gross motor skills.
🔹 Boost Confidence: Mastering the water gives them a massive sense of independence and achievement.
From the bus to the playground, and now to the pool—our second annual trip is proving that with the right support, our pupils can dive into any adventure! 🧩🦁
The world is a playground when you’re included. 🎢🤝✨
Our field trip today isn't just about the slides and the swings—it’s about belonging. For a neurodivergent child, a public playground in a bustling city like Douala is a sensory and social masterclass. 🏙️🧠
Seeing our pupils interact, explore, and simply be kids in this space is a victory for our entire community. We are building confidence, one slide at a time! 💎🙌
More magic from Douala coming your way soon! Stay tuned. 🚀📸
