*a. Esterification*

Esterification is a chemical reaction between a carboxylic acid and an alcohol to form an ester and water.
Example: Ethanoic acid + Ethanol → Ethyl ethanoate + Water

*b. Saponification*

Saponification is the hydrolysis of esters (usually fats or oils) in the presence of a strong base (like NaOH) to form soap and glycerol.
Example: Fat + Sodium hydroxide → Soap + Glycerol

*c. Deliquescence*

Deliquescence is the property of certain substances to absorb moisture from the air until they dissolve in the absorbed water and form a solution.
Example: Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) is a deliquescent substance.

*d. Chemical Change*

A chemical change is a process where one or more substances are transformed into new substances with different properties. These changes are usually irreversible.
Examples: Rusting of iron, Combustion, Digestion of food
