From a simple booklet request to an international project. 🌍
About two weeks ago, a client reached out to me about designing a booklet for an upcoming event.
At first, I assumed it was a regular event happening locally. So, I asked a few questions to better understand the event, its audience, and the content requirements.
Then came the surprise.
He told me it was a grand international event bringing together filmmakers, creatives, industry professionals, and guests from across Africa — the Toronto Pan African Film Festival.
He also told me something that meant a lot to me:
"I've seen your work, and I like it because it looks professional. I'm trusting you with this project."
I took a deep breath… and got to work.
There were details I needed to clarify along the way, but through proper communication and collaboration with the client, I was able to understand the vision and translate the information into a clean, professional, and print-ready booklet.
A week later, the final designs were delivered — carefully structured, high-quality, and ready for production.
The event took place last weekend, and seeing the project come to life as part of such a major international event was incredibly fulfilling.
This marks my second international project — and by far, one of the bigger opportunities I've had the privilege to work on.
Projects like this remind me why I do what I do.
I'm dedicated to helping business owners, event planners, organizations, and individuals solve branding and communication challenges through strategic, professional, and purposeful visual design.
If you have a project that needs more than just "good design" — but design that communicates, connects, and represents your vision, my DMs are open.
Let's create something strategic.
