10 COMMANDMENTS EVERY LEARNER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE ENTERING THE CLASSROOM!
Being a good learner is not only about getting high scores.
It is also about character, discipline, respect, responsibility and the willingness to learn.
If every learner followed these 10 simple commandments, classrooms would be more peaceful and productive.
THE 10 COMMANDMENTS FOR EVERY LEARNER
1. THOU SHALT RESPECT YOUR TEACHERS.
Listen to them, speak respectfully and appreciate their efforts to help you learn.
2. THOU SHALT RESPECT YOUR FELLOW LEARNERS.
No bullying, mocking, fighting or deliberately embarrassing others.
3. THOU SHALT COME TO SCHOOL PREPARED.
Bring your books, writing materials and anything required for your lessons.
4. THOU SHALT BE PUNCTUAL.
Respect your time, your teacher's time and your classmates' time.
5. THOU SHALT LISTEN WHEN OTHERS ARE SPEAKING.
Don't interrupt unnecessarily. Good listening is part of good learning.
6. THOU SHALT DO YOUR WORK HONESTLY.
Avoid cheating, copying and presenting someone else's work as your own.
7. THOU SHALT TAKE CARE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY.
Desks, books, computers, classrooms and other school resources belong to the school community. Treat them with care.
8. THOU SHALT ACCEPT CORRECTION.
Nobody gets everything right. Learn from your mistakes instead of becoming defensive.
9. THOU SHALT ASK QUESTIONS WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.
There is no shame in asking for help.
10. THOU SHALT NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.
A difficult subject, poor result or mistake does not mean you cannot improve.
🚨 LEARNERS, REMEMBER THIS:
Your grades matter.
But your character matters too.
Be the learner who:
âś” Respects others
âś” Takes responsibility
âś” Works honestly
âś” Listens carefully
âś” Asks questions
âś” Learns from mistakes
âś” Helps others
âś” Takes school seriously
âś” Keeps improving
You may leave school one day and forget some of the lessons you were taught.
But the discipline, habits and character you develop can continue to influence your future.
