Have you ever experienced a disappointment so painful that you found yourself asking, "God, where are You? Why did this happen to me?" Perhaps you searched your heart, wondering if you had done something wrong, or if some hidden sin had caused you to miss an opportunity.

Take courage. God is still there.

Not every disappointment is a punishment, and not every closed door is a sign of God's displeasure. More often than we realize, God is protecting us, preparing us, or preserving us for something better. His thoughts toward us are good, and His timing is always perfect, even when we cannot understand it.

So do not lose heart. Do not allow disappointment to weaken your faith. Fix your eyes on Jesus and continue trusting Him. He knows exactly where you are, what you are feeling, and what you are waiting for. Nothing about your life has escaped His attention.

Yes, others may have travelled abroad. Many are already married. Some have secured good jobs. Others are building thriving businesses. Meanwhile, you may feel as though your life has come to a standstill. Do not compare your journey with theirs. God writes every story differently, and He has not forgotten yours.

Remain faithful.Continue to do the work of an evangelist.Serve God with joy.Keep growing, keep praying, and keep preparing. In due season you will reap if you do not give up.The God who opened doors for others is able to open yours at the right time. The God who restored all Job had lost is still alive. The God who brought Lazarus to life is alive. The God who made Ezekiel bring dry bones to flesh and an army, is still alive.

Your appointed time cannot be stolen. What God has prepared for you will not pass you by. Trust His process, remain steadfast in prayer, and keep your confidence in Him. The God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. He is still working on your behalf, even when you cannot yet see it.

Many singles make the mistake of believing that marriage will automatically transform them into better, wiser, more disciplined, and more responsible people. It rarely works that way.

The truth is that marriage does not create capacity; it reveals it. Whatever you consistently cultivate in your single years is what you will most likely carry into marriage. Marriage may amplify your strengths and expose your weaknesses, but it cannot substitute for the personal growth you neglected.

Please don't postpone your development until you say, "I do." Grow now. Build your relationship with God now. Develop your character now. Learn communication, emotional intelligence, financial stewardship, conflict resolution, leadership, and service now. Heal from past wounds now. Become dependable now.

I say this from the depth of my heart because I genuinely care about your future. This is far more urgent than many people realize. Too many are preparing for a wedding instead of preparing for a marriage. A beautiful ceremony can be planned in months, but a successful marriage is built over years of intentional growth.

Much of the person you become in marriage is incubated during your season of singleness. Marriage simply gives what was hidden the opportunity to sprout. If you sow maturity, love, discipline, wisdom, and purpose while single, those qualities will blossom in marriage. But if you neglect growth, marriage will not magically produce what was never planted.

Don't wait for a spouse to become the person God is calling you to be. Build capacity today. Your future spouse deserves your best, your future children deserve your best, and your calling deserves your best. The time to grow is not after marriage; it is now!

Men shouldn't turn their wives into slaves.
Husbands should be servant leaders, helping their wives to do the dishes once in a while, changing the baby's diapers, and more.
That's loving your wife. đź’•

Borrowed Splendor

Once, in a village surrounded by thick forests and flowing streams, there lived a poor and ordinary man. He was neither handsome nor strong, and his clothes were worn and faded. Yet, he carried a deep desire in his heart—to marry the most beautiful woman in the land.
This woman was admired by all. Chiefs sent gifts. Hunters brought trophies. Wealthy men came with fine cloth and shining ornaments. But she turned them all away, waiting for a man who would dazzle her beyond all others.
The poor man knew he had nothing to offer—unless he borrowed what he lacked.
So he went into the forest, where spirits and creatures dwelt.
To one spirit he said, “Lend me your radiant skin, smooth and glowing like the morning sun.” The spirit agreed—but only for a time.
To another he said, “Lend me your tall and graceful legs.” Granted.
To another: “Your strong arms.” Granted.
To another: “Your bright, charming eyes.” Granted.
He went from spirit to spirit, borrowing beauty, strength, elegance—until he became a man of breathtaking appearance. He clothed himself in splendid garments, borrowed from traders and friends, and adorned himself with beads and gold.
When he returned to the village, no one recognized him.
The beautiful woman saw him—and her heart was captured. Surely, this was the man she had been waiting for.
They were married with great celebration.
But after the wedding, as custom required, the man began the journey to take his bride to his home.
They had not gone far before a voice called from the forest: “Return what you borrowed.”
His radiant skin faded. His legs shortened. His arms weakened. His eyes lost their sparkle.
At each call, he stopped and returned what was never truly his.
His bride watched in horror as the man beside her changed—piece by piece—into someone she did not know.
Finally, even the fine clothes and ornaments were claimed back.
What remained was the poor, ordinary man—bare and ashamed.
The woman stepped back.
“Who are you?"
