As part of the Life Savers Project aimed at training 1,000 emergency life savers and promoting inclusive healthcare, Doctor Biaka Memorial Foundation in partnership with the Biaka Hospital successfully hosted a Free CPR and First Aid Training at Saker Baptist College Limbe on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The training equipped students with essential life-saving skills, including: CPR techniques, emergency response, and basic first aid practices needed to respond effectively during emergencies. The initiative reflects DBMF’s commitment to promoting inclusive healthcare and building safer communities by empowering young people and community members with practical health and emergency response knowledge.

DR BIAKA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION (DBMF) CAMPAIGN AGAINST DRUG ABUSE
On Friday, April 24th, the Doctor Biaka Memorial Foundation (DBMF) brought together over 250 young people for the grand finale of the DBMF Campaign Against Drug Abuse. The event featured a sensitization walk and two gala matches, with Team Biaka competing against Buea Regional Hospital and Cameroon Dance Academy respectively.
Through these activities, participants demonstrated a strong commitment to join DBMF in the fight against drug abuse and related challenges, while promoting health and well-being for all.

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo, on April 1, 2026, received the newly elected leadership of ANIPES, headed by Dr. Francisca Biaka, alongside Mr. Gabriel Djankou and Lucien Wantou Siantou.
During the audience, ANIPES presented key projects focused on promoting university entrepreneurship, including the creation of a microfinance institution and the financing of student-led business initiatives.
The Minister praised the initiative and reaffirmed government support, noting its alignment with the vision of President Paul Biya, which prioritizes youth and women empowerment.
The Minister of State commended the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. He encouraged ANIPES to accelerate implementation to ensure the rapid operationalization of this financing mechanism.

Dr. Francisca H. BIAKA , Vice Chancellor of the Biaka University Institute of Buea - BUIB and CEO of the Biaka Group, has been elected President of the National Association of Private Higher Education Institutions (ANIPES/NAPHEI).
Elected today March 30, 2026, during the Association’s Elective General Assembly in Nkolandom, her election marks a significant milestone in her continued leadership in advancing higher education in Cameroon.
She will serve a three - year mandate, with expectations to strengthen collaboration, innovation, and quality across private higher education institutions nationwide.

Over the weekend, the Biaka Hospital, in collaboration with the Dr. Biaka Memorial Foundation (DBMF), proudly took part in the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Bakweri Youths Association (BAYA), contributing to two days of impactful community outreach.
During the event, the team provided free testing for HIV, syphilis, and malaria, as well as dental consultations, helping participants better understand and take charge of their health. In addition, hands-on CPR training sessions were conducted, equipping attendees with essential life-saving skills.
This initiative reflects Biaka’s continued commitment to promoting accessible healthcare, health awareness, and community empowerment.

BIAKA GROUP marks its presence in the Commonwealth Transnational Education (TNE) Forum 2026
on March 6th, 2026, BIAKA Group Management attended the Commonwealth Transnational Education (TNE) Forum in Yaoundé in partnership with the British High Commission in Cameroon, policymakers, University stakeholders, investors, and international education partners.
With several top tier Universities in attendance such as Edinburgh Napier University, UWE Bristol, DTSI , Saint George etc from countries such as the United Kingdom, USA, France Malaysia just to name a few, several key topics such as educational digitalization, reforms, ranking systems clarity on regulations, effective recognition of degrees, certifications and equivalencies stood as the order of the day alongside emphasis on quality framework.
The Deal Room sessions, which facilitated 25 structured B2B meetings between international universities and local institutions aimed at building meaningful academic partnerships. The results of such forums can only be beneficial for BIAKA Group and for the University milieu in Cameroon.
