We know we’ve been a little quiet since the year started… but it’s because something meaningful has been happening behind the scenes.
Meet the women of One Woman Can – our inaugural cohort, who are rewriting what women can do economically when given the right opportunities, systems, and support.
Over the past 5 weeks, four determined women out of the 10 selected have been part of the One Woman Can Programme—a journey designed to help women with little or no business experience gain the knowledge, confidence, and tools to start and manage their own businesses, enabling them to contribute economically to their households and communities.
These women have been consistently showing up, learning, asking questions, sharing ideas, and most importantly, taking their first steps toward entrepreneurship. Their focus areas include poultry farming and buying & selling—two practical business paths that can grow into sustainable sources of income.
Every session has been filled with conversation, discovery, and the courage to try something new. From understanding who they are to exploring real opportunities within their chosen fields, the journey so far has been inspiring to witness.
What stands out most is their commitment. Week after week, they come ready to learn, ready to grow, and ready to prove that one woman truly can start something that changes her life and those around her.
Here’s what has happened so far:
Week 1️⃣: Self-discovery, self-awareness, aspirations, confidence building through productive habits, and an introduction to business basics.
Week 2️⃣: Money fundamentals—understanding income, revenue, and profit, keeping simple records, and separating business money from personal money.
Week 3️⃣: Identifying customers, calculating profitable prices, and practising how to sell with confidence.
Week 4️⃣: Developing practical business plans with clear key performance indicators for their poultry and buying & selling businesses.
Week 5️⃣: Exploring their industries—learning the legal considerations, skills, and strategies in marketing and sales needed to succeed.
What makes this different?
These are not just sessions but real steps toward economic empowerment backed by action. Thanks to Teach Connect, each woman will receive startup capital to launch her business upon successful completion.
We are proud of how far they have come in just five weeks and look forward to the progress they will continue to make in the weeks ahead.
Sometimes real change happens quietly at first, but the results speak loudly.
Stay with us as we continue to share their journey.
Aside from this, we have also launched the 3rd cohort of our getstarted programme, where we help you transform your business idea into a brand in 8 weeks.

ENTREPRENEURS WORKSHOP
Over the years, we’ve observed a truly critical challenge among early-stage entrepreneurs, which is a silent killer of potential: the gap between knowing what to do and understanding how to do it effectively.
In our interactions with entrepreneurs, we see founders who:
📌Know pricing is key, yet consistently underprice by 30-50%.
📌 Understand marketing's importance, but distribute efforts across different platforms without tangible results.
📌 Recognise cash flow as vital, but can't confidently forecast their position in the coming weeks.
The result is often businesses that survive on luck rather than strategy.
This observation is precisely why we are hosting:
✔"How to Grow Your Business & Its Financial Sustainability"
This isn't a theoretical session, but a practical, hands-on workshop specifically designed for entrepreneurs in their first 3 years who are ready to transition from merely surviving to strategically thriving.
Here is What Participants Will Learn;
1️⃣ How your current philosophy and business practices are keeping you stuck, and what you can do to master and navigate the pitfalls and common mistakes you are currently making that are hurting your business
2️⃣ How to design and implement a repeatable growth engine instead of relying on luck
3️⃣ How to design a financial model and structure with a clear grasp of cash flow management, burn-rate discipline, and unit economics

The 6-Step Blueprint to Building a Brand That Lasts🚀
Building a brand is not about luck. It's also not just about your budget. It's a process, a careful process of engineered systems working together to create an impact and tell a story that is remembered.
We’ve seen most first-time founders spend months perfecting their product, while spending little time thinking about their brand- the personality, tone, and positioning in the psychology of the user-which are all important in building trust and a lasting memory in the minds of their customers.
The worst part is, most first-time founders fail to understand that their brand isn't just a logo and a range of colour palettes. Brands are embodiments of the values and promises that founders make to the public, encapsulating the experiences they seek to deliver through their brands, with a deeper psychosocial value that customers resonate with the brand and why they will choose it over other brands.
After working with dozens of first-time founders, there is a recognisable pattern that successful brands follow- something we could call a blueprint. 💡
📌Here are 6 steps we believe are critical in helping a founder go from their personal brand "Who are you?" to "I know who you are and why I should choose you."
✔️ Strong brands don't happen by accident. They're built intentionally, one step at a time.
Check out the framework 👇
Which step are you currently working on? Comment 1-6 below, and let's talk about where and how we can help you!

Some Common Founder Mistakes
Through our journey working with founders, we’ve seen the most brilliant ideas stumbled because of some common pitfalls encountered by first-time entrepreneurs. From such experiences, we've identified some key mistakes that can slow the growth or even stop a venture dead in its tracks.
Here's How To Sidestep Them:
1️⃣Poor Market Research: Before launching, DO NOT assume people want what you have to offer. Define your offer, ideal customers/clients, their pain points, existing solutions, and success metrics
✅ What you should do: Conduct surveys, interviews, and competitive analysis before a significant investment.
2️⃣ Building in Isolation and Without Data: Your customers are your compass. They can provide you with real insights on what is required, how it is required, and at what price. Ignoring their feedback is likely to lead to poor service or product designs that nobody wants.
✅What you should do: Implement agile development techniques with real customer data. Design, test, and launch a Minimum Viable Product, then gather feedback continuously, and iterate based on real user insights.
3️⃣ Mismanaging Cash Flow: Cash flow is important; in fact, it is the blood of your business. As such, underestimating your expenses or overestimating revenue could lead you to failure. You need to have a good sense of your runway, the cost of customer acquisition, and the break-even point.
✅What you should do: Create a detailed financial model with clear projections and scenarios. Track every amount, manage burn rate, and adopt diverse strategies to secure adequate funding.
4️⃣Poor Brand Positioning: If you don't clearly articulate your unique value proposition in your message or offer, you'll get lost in the noise.
✅What you should do: Define your niche. Articulate your value proposition (VP) and consistently communicate it across all channels using diverse techniques to connect with your customer base.
Avoiding these mistakes isn't just about preventing failure; it's about you building a strong and resilient foundation for success.
What's one mistake you learned from early on ❓

The First-Time Founder's Roadmap: From Idea to Brand (getstarted)
Most entrepreneurs start at the same place: with an idea and a thousand “How to” questions. Throughout the time we have worked with first-time founders who have successfully launched a brand, we've observed a few recurrent themes that separate those who succeed from those who remain stuck in the planning phase.
What Separates Successful Founders From Those Who Stay Stuck
✅Confidence and Decisiveness: Being able to make decisions swiftly with confidence is key to any life venture and a critical success factor in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs usually get stuck as a result of indecisiveness and a lack of confidence to deal with the consequences of their choices and actions.
✅Open to Learning and Teachable: Successful entrepreneurs actively seek out proven opportunities to learn. The smartest ones use their learning to develop frameworks and action checklists, turning 'How to' questions into clear, actionable steps.
✅Validating Early: Instead of perfecting the design of their idea in isolation, successful entrepreneurs go out of the building to test their assumptions and check for market fit, using multiple affordable strategies to adapt their ideas based on customer feedback.
✅Building Operational Clarity: Successful entrepreneurs don't just dream of a brand; they meticulously build the operating systems and processes with clear breakdown structures that are easy to automate and sustainable.
For anyone ready to leap into entrepreneurship, here's the practical roadmap we've used for over a decade to help aspiring founders transform their business idea into reality.
📌Remember: This process isn't Linear!
You’ll often loop back to previous stages as you learn. That’s not failure - It’s simply development. The goal is continuous improvement based on real customer feedback and enterprise performance.
Where are you on our roadmap, and what's the one action you'll take this week to move your idea forward? Share in the comments—your journey might inspire someone else to start theirs.
Do you have an idea and are looking for systems to realise it?
Enrol now in the getstarted programme, let's work with you to realise your dream.
Our third cohort begins on Nov. 24, 2025.
