Going through the Staff Rules and Regulations of FOTAPS Bilingual Nursery and Primary School in Buea yesterday, I found particular joy in points 5, 8, 10, 11, 18, and 23 which are crucial in creating a peaceful, inclusive, and exemplary environment for holistic education. 👇👇Read....
Point 5: No Hatespeech by all cost: This emphasizes the importance of avoiding hate speech, whether intentional or unintentional. This rule sets a standard for respectful communication among staff members.
Point 8: Coporal punishment not allowed: This prohibits corporal punishment and encourages staff to refer serious incidents to the head teacher. This policy promotes a safe and nurturing learning environment for all learners by practicing perfect classroom management skills.
Point 10: Prayers every Friday (30 minutes after last lesson): As a Christian led institution, Points 10 mandates prayers every Friday, fostering a sense of community and spirituality within the school. God first🙏
Point 11: All teachers must be actively involved in club activities to help engage pupils better: This involvement helps build strong relationships between teachers and pupils.
Point 18: No sexual harassment (no sexual relationship between staff): it prohibits harassment and sexual relationships between staff members, ensuring a professional and respectful work environment. It is evident that Children learn through observation🌝
Point 23: Staff must collaborate during community engagement activities: You all know, the school does not function in isolation right 🤔 this point emphasizes the importance of staff collaboration during community engagement activities, highlighting the school as an open system that values teamwork and community involvement.
By adhering to these policies, FOTAPS Bilingual Nursery and Primary School Staff is setting a positive example for other educational institutions and learners. These rules not only shape behavior but also instill values that will benefit the children we are raising. As educators, we must be mindful of the influence we have on our learners and strive to be positive role models in all aspects of our work.
