Greetings Mimi Mefo Info Team.
I wish to decry the frustration and suffering Cameroonians who intend to study abroad go through while legalizing documents.
Acquiring, and certifying these documents at the institutions issuing them such as Universities is a nightmare.
The learning institutions in most cases do not respect timeframe while issuing these documents, besides the expensive cost they demand.
This situation has been worsened by the Ministry of External Relations in Yaounde which charges a minimum of 20.000FCFA to legalize a single document. Added to this pain and frustration is the fact that these documents are not accepted by most Universities abroad without their country's diplomatic approval considering that Cameroon is not a member of the Apostille Convention.
For example, applying to study in countries like Poland and Austria with academic certificates obtained from Cameroon is almost impossible because these embassies are not in Cameroon. Moreso, getting appointments to some of these embassies in Nigeria to legalize certificates is almost impossible and very costly to go through the entire process.
please let the government spare us the pain and frustration of jumping from one embassy to another to legalize documents by subscribing to the Apostille Convention.

"Greetings, this university of Bamenda is just so funny. This is a certificate issued to students attesting they did their studies in English and just for you to notice that the date is in French. Now, if you send this document somewhere and the date is in French what does it tell the reader...All their official documents have dates in French this is a call for concern...Just to have this document it takes sometimes a month and to change it, they told us to reapply for another one if we want, but we should be sure it will have the same thing"
