WHITE HOUSE REVEALS SOMALIA'S TOP REFEREE IS LINKED TO TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.

The White House has broken its silence over the decision to deny Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan entry into the United States ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to a statement cited by The Athletic FC, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) discovered what it described as “derogatory information, including association with suspected members of terror organizations” during further inspection.

The U.S. government said this made Artan ineligible for admission under the Immigration and Nationality Act, adding that President Donald Trump’s administration “will not allow any security threat to enter our country, full stop.”

The development has sparked major reactions in the football world, as Artan had been selected among the referees expected to officiate at the World Cup.

💔💔💔😭BREAKING: An ENS Level 200 STUDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BAMENDA HAS BEEN SHOT DEAD IN BAMBUI.

A student of the University of Bamenda has been shot and killed by gunmen in Bambui this Monday June 8, 2026, in yet another deadly incident to rock the troubled North West Region.

The victim,a student in the Department of English Modern Letters, was killed on the spot in Bambui, just a few kilometres from the university town of Bambili. Her identity had not yet been confirmed at the time of this report as her Identity card was destroyed.

The killing comes exactly one week after another young man was shot dead in Bambili, raising fresh and urgent questions about the safety of students and civilians living and studying in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon.

No armed group has claimed responsibility and authorities are yet to release an official statement. Investigations into the circumstances of the shooting are ongoing.

We are yet to get the circumstances surrounding her death as we hear that a Bike rider was also killed in this attack.

FINALLY! TWO THIEVES HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN BONABÉRI AFTER THEY ATTACKED A MOBILE MONEY KIOSK OPERATOR.

A botched robbery in Bonaberi, Douala has ended with two thieves in the hands of gendarmerie officers after a mobile money agent refused to release her bag despite being dragged to the ground by the attackers.

The incident occurred late at night as the woman returned home from her kiosk. Two men followed her from her workplace and pounced as she arrived at her door, snatching at her handbag. The woman held firm, screaming for help as a tug of war broke out between her and the suspects.

Nearby residents rushed to her aid, overpowered the two men, and held them until gendarmes arrived to make the arrest. Both attackers were injured before being taken into custody.

The incident adds to the series of incidents in Cameroon where mobile money kiosk operators have been attacked and some even k!lled.
