Carrier Opportunities for Land Transport Students
Graduating with a degree in transportation and logistics will leave you with no shortage of career paths. Not only is transportation utilized by a wide variety of institutions (everything from global corporations to city governments), the transportation and logistics industry is made up of many different parts that perform very different functions. Some of the carrier options in Land Transport include;

1) Driver

A driver transports people, goods and services from one place to another. Often, they move products from point of origin to destination or from a manufacturing plant to a retail or distribution center. They need to have mechanical knowledge and be able to maneuver their vehicle.

2)Fleet Manager
Fleet managers, also known as transportation managers, play a pivotal role in any industry that moves people or manufactures, transports, or warehouses products. In addition to optimizing transportation operations (which may include selecting vehicles; hiring, training, and scheduling drivers; and overseeing vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance), they work closely with other key departments to support the company's mission.

3)Traffic and Transportation Logistics Analyst
Traffic and transportation logistics analysts and related personnel coordinate all details of the transportation of people or of cargo between their points of departure and destination.

4)Road traffic accident investigator
Road traffic accident investigators carry out examinations to work out why an accident happened.

5)Road transport manager
Road transport managers make sure goods and passengers reach their 2destinations safely, on time and in the most cost-effective way.

6)Transport planner
Prepare studies for proposed transportation projects. Gather, compile, and analyze data. Study the use and operation of transportation systems. Develop transportation models or simulations.
