KIA ORANA PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS,
As we head into the final four weeks of the school term, it is an especially busy and important timefor our school community. Our senior students are currently in the midst of their NCEA examinations and preparations are underway for our end-of-year Prize-Giving Ceremony where we will celebrate the achievements and efforts of our students across all levels from Years 9—13.
We also advise that Ms Gorrie is currently on leave. The Assistant Secretary for Policy, Planning & Innovation (MoE), Mr Delaney Yaqona has been assigned to oversee the college in the interim.
SENIOR STUDENTS LEAVE NOTICE
Please be advised that from Monday, 17th November, all Year 11–13 students will begin their study leave for the remainder of the term. This shift is intended to better utilise the remaining time. During this period, students are encouraged to continue with their independent study and exam preparation at home. Teachers will also be scheduling additional assessment sessions during this period. These sessions are intended to provide students with opportunities to complete
outstanding work and undertake further assessments, supporting them to achieve their best possible results. Students who are required to attend these sessions must return to school on the dates and times communicated by their teachers.
Information regarding these sessions has already been communicated directly to the parents and students concerned. We strongly encourage you to support your child in making the most of these opportunities as they play an important role in strengthening their academic progress.
TEREORA COLLEGE PRIZE-GIVING 2025
As mentioned in our previous newsletter, our School Prize-Giving Ceremony will be held on Friday, 28th November 9am at the National Auditorium. This is a whole-school event, and we look forward to celebrating together with our wider community the achievements and successes of our students.
A friendly reminder to parents and caregivers of 2024 trophy recipients—if you still have a trophy at home, please ensure it is returned to the school office as soon as possible.
NEW ENROLMENTS 2026
Interviews for all new Year 9 enrolments for Tereora College 2026 will be held from 2:00–5:00pm on Monday, 1st December and Tuesday, 2nd December. This opportunity is also available for students wishing to attend Tereora College and who missed out during the previously held enrolment sessions.
