Going through cancer is hard enough.

It’s hard to think clearly. It’s hard to have the strength to do ANYTHING…

Let alone deal with dozens of comments per week from friends, family, doctors, therapists, neighbors, etc… telling them what to do.

Cancer coaching is (at least in my practice) the polar opposite:

It’s a place where you can get tools, learn techniques, gain information, ask questions, get support, open up, and walk away every session with choices to make… Not choices made for you.

The best way to heal is the way that YOU choose.

So make sure you sit somewhere, by yourself, in the quiet, and listen to your own thoughts.

Then remember: this is your healing journey. And you don’t owe anyone explanations on your choices when it comes to healing.

Share this to empower anyone on the cancer journey.

There are simple, small things you can do to feel better today:

✨ Meditation
🧘‍♀️ Breathwork
🧠 Gratitude
🌟 Yoga

And so many other things.

Give someone a compliment. Give yourself an affirmation in the mirror.

The small steps count.

Save this for a bad day or send it to someone with cancer 💪🫂💫

Cancer asks you to keep going on the days you least feel like yourself.

I know this not only as a cancer survivor myself, but also as someone who has walked beside both of my parents through cancer.

I know how heavy it can feel.

How much can remain unspoken.

How often life keeps moving, while inside, everything feels different.

This is one of the reasons I do the work I do today.

To offer the kind of support I know can make such a difference during moments like these.

Support that feels human.

Grounded.

And present for everything cancer carries beyond treatment.

Many people think the hardest part ends when treatment ends.

But for many survivors, that’s when a different chapter begins.

When appointments become less frequent,
but the thoughts become louder.

When everyone around you feels ready to move on,
and you still feel changed by what happened.

This experience is more common than many people realize.

Not feeling “back to normal” after cancer does not mean something is wrong with you.

Healing is not only physical. It can take time to rebuild trust in your body, your routines, your energy, and yourself.

Cancer can make you incredibly hard on yourself.

You tell yourself to stay strong. To cope better. To keep going.

To not fall apart.

And without noticing, you start asking more from yourself in the moment you probably need softness the most.

More patience. More compassion. More support.

Whether you are living with cancer yourself, or supporting someone you love through it, this experience can be exhausting in ways that are not always visible.

You are allowed to feel tired. You are allowed to not handle everything perfectly.

Sometimes self-compassion is not a luxury during cancer.

It becomes part of how we keep going.

As a cancer survivor, I know how much of the experience happens internally while life around you keeps moving.

You may still be answering messages.
Showing up for work. Making dinner. Smiling at people.

And at the same time carrying fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, and thoughts that never seem to fully switch off.

It is a part of cancer that often remains invisible to others.

But it is real. And it can feel incredibly heavy.

Today, through my work as a cancer coach, I see this same experience reflected in so many others.

Which is why I believe emotional support deserves space in the cancer journey too.

Not only for the diagnosis. Not only for treatment.

But for everything happening quietly underneath it all.

Change is uncomfortable.

Whether it’s finishing treatment, returning to work, moving house, starting a new relationship, or simply waking up and realising life doesn’t feel the same anymore… change can bring fear.

After cancer, that fear can feel even louder because you’ve already experienced how quickly life can change.

Our minds naturally want certainty. They rush ahead, imagining every possible outcome, every “what if”. But the truth is, that’s where anxiety lives… in a future that hasn’t happened.

Peace isn’t found by having all the answers. It’s found by gently bringing yourself back to this moment.

Right now.

Take a breath.

Notice what is actually true today.

You don’t have to solve tomorrow. You only need to be here, in this moment.

The present is where your strength is. It’s where healing happens. And it’s where life is waiting for you.

✨ What’s one change you’re navigating right now? Let me know in the comments. You never know who might need to hear they’re not alone.

Nobody prepares you for the anxiety before a scan.
The waiting. The overthinking.
Trying to stay calm while your mind goes everywhere at once.
If you’ve ever felt this before a scan, while waiting for results, or in the days leading up to an appointment… you are not alone.
Many people call it scanxiety.
And it is far more common than most people realize.
This kind of anxiety can feel exhausting mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Support during cancer is not only about treatment.
It is also about having support through the waiting.
Through the uncertainty.
Through the moments no one else fully sees.

Cancer coaching offers support for that space too. Not instead of medical care. Alongside it.
A space to process what you are carrying, find clarity when everything feels overwhelming, and feel supported through the day-to-day reality of living with cancer.
Because support is not only about treating the disease. It is also about caring for the person living through it.
Free resources are available through the link in bio. My DMs are always open.
Warmly, Catherine
