🙈 I’m melancholic, hypersensitive, a perfectionist, and often insecure because I don’t fully trust people or my environment, and catastrophizing and intrusive thoughts aren’t strangers to me either. Because of all that, it’s always been hard for me to feel calm, satisfied, or optimistic.

For years I tried the classic gratitude journaling approach, but it kept me going in circles. I couldn’t think of many things to be “grateful” for on command, and the ones I could think of felt too trivial to spark any real emotion.
