10 years. One unforgettable milestone. 🏆🚄
We’re proud to celebrate swissloop’s 10th anniversary with our biggest success yet at the European Hyperloop Week 2026.
Competing against 20 teams from 11 countries across 3 continents, we’re returning to Zurich with 6 awards:
🏅 Overall First Place
🏅 Best Integrated Hyperloop
🏅 Best Propulsion
🏅 Best Levitation & Guidance
🏅 Best Engineering Design
🏅 Best Technical Research
This achievement is the result of countless hours of engineering, testing, and teamwork; and it would not have been possible without the dedication of our members, alumni, partners, sponsors, and supporters who have been part of our journey over the past decade.
To everyone who believed in our vision: thank you. This victory belongs to all of us.
Here's to the next decade of innovation.
A New Journey in Transportation. ❤️🇨🇭

Green light for testing!
We are proud that our pod, „Lia Wälti,“ has officially passed all mechanical, electrical, and control scrutineering at this year’s European Hyperloop Week (EHW).
Passing these rigorous safety and technical checks as the first competition team to do so this year is a massive milestone. It is a true testament to the countless hours of hard work, engineering precision, and dedication our team has poured into this project over the last year.
A huge thank you to our partners, sponsors, and advisors who made this achievement possible. We couldn’t do this without your continued support!

10 years of Swissloop. One giant step closer to Hyperloop. 🚀
This week we celebrated our 10th anniversary by unveiling our newest pod at Innovation Park Zürich and introducing the name she carries: Lia Wälti, captain of the Swiss women's national football team.
Leadership. Determination. Consistency. The values Lia Wälti embodies are exactly the ones that carried us through 1,000+ crimped cables, 60,000+ lines of code, and 40,000+ hours of work.
Lia Wälti is also the first pod in Swissloop's history designed for pod coupling: two vehicles operating simultaneously on the same track. One big step toward a scalable Hyperloop system.
Thank you to every team member, alumni, partner, and sponsor who made this moment possible. 🙏
Next stop: European Hyperloop Week, Groningen. 🇳🇱

✨ European Hyperloop Week 2025 ✨
While our new team is already diving into the design of the 10th Swissloop pod, we look back at an unforgettable finale to the 2025 project year. 🚀
Our Marcel Hug ( ) pod brought home an amazing set of awards:
🏆 Engineering Design Award
🏆 Best Propulsion Award
🏆 Integrated Hyperloop Design Award
🏆 Best Vacuum Award
🥈 2nd Place Overall
With 4 out of 5 technical awards and just 25 points shy of 1st place ( ), we couldn’t be prouder. 💪
Now it’s full speed ahead into our 10th season of building Hyperloop prototypes at Swissloop.
Here’s to what’s next! 🚄✨

And the name is... Marcel Hug!
This Tuesday marked one of the biggest milestones of our project year: the Swissloop Sponsoring Rollout.
We had the great honour of welcoming Marcel Hug – Swiss Paralympic athlete and multiple medalist – as the namesake of our pod.
We proudly unveiled our pod, the result of countless days and nights of hard work, and performed a series of flawless demonstration runs to showcase its capabilities.
The evening was rounded off with tacos and dessert. All homemade by the team!
A heartfelt thank-you to all our sponsors, friends, and families. Your support made this possible!

Last Saturday, Swissloop took on the SOLA Stafette! 🏃♂️💨
Our 14-runner team covered a total of 113km and tackled 2600m of elevation across the greater Zurich area. Each of the 14 stages ranged from 3.7 to 14 km — and together, we conquered them all. 💪🔥
Once again, this proved that what seems impossible alone becomes possible as a team. 🚀

Meet Katharina Hirschbach, our booster engineer – also known as Kathamaran in Swissloop. Fun fact: she somehow can’t finish a single meal without spilling something. When she’s not working on the pod, she loves skiing down a mountain. Her favorite snack? Grapes. Best Swissloop moment so far? Grabbing that much-needed morning coffee in the Chuchichästli every single day. And her favorite coding song is Champagne Coast by Blood Orange. 🍇🎿☕
