NVIDIA’s record revenues look spectacular but one number deserves much closer attention: accounts receivable.

As NVIDIA gives some customers longer payment terms and invests more deeply across the AI infrastructure ecosystem, an important question emerges:

Is AI demand becoming increasingly dependent on the same ecosystem helping to finance it?

We’ve seen versions of this before. During the dot-com and telecom boom, companies like Lucent and Nortel helped finance customers buying their equipment until credit dried up and “demand” suddenly looked very different.

NVIDIA is not there today. Its customers are stronger, cash flow is enormous, and the comparison has clear limits.

But watch these four things:

Receivables. Payment terms. Cash conversion. Circular financing.

Because the real warning sign isn’t when revenue stops growing.

It’s when revenue keeps growing but someone has to finance the customer to keep it growing.

They Stayed Away From AI and Won

While investors were chasing high-growth technology and AI stocks, the winners of the UK Investment Competition 2025 looked elsewhere.

Adam Hrehovcik and Joaquim Silva believed valuations in parts of the technology sector had become difficult to justify. Their response was to search for opportunities in overlooked sectors—including biotech and healthcare.

Their contrarian approach ultimately helped them build the competition’s winning portfolio.
Sometimes, the biggest opportunity is where nobody else is looking.
