Entrepreneurship in Tourism — Zurich Field Trip 🚀

What does entrepreneurship in tourism look like beyond the classroom? Our students got to find out firsthand!

Together with lecturer David Griesbach, they explored Zurich’s start-up ecosystem, visited the GetYourGuide headquarters and heard directly from co-founder Tobias Rein. At DasProvisorium , they discovered how a coworking space can act as a hub and ecosystem enabler for food and hospitality start-ups.

The day brought inspiring insights from Get Local, Coralive , CORAlliance, and Wonderfill — and a closer look at the ideas, challenges and people shaping the future of tourism and hospitality directly or indirectly.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for opening your doors, sharing your experiences so openly and giving our students a real-world perspective on what entrepreneurship means. This is what learning beyond the classroom is all about! 🙌

What a start for Cohort 3. 💛

Two weeks ago, we welcomed our new students to Madrid for Bienvenido al Estudio — our onboarding week and the very first step of their journey together.

And what a spirit this class already has! ✨

We’ve heard from many students that they connected with each other right from the start, and that having this first week together made it much easier to build a sense of community. And honestly, we felt it too.

Beyond all the information, introductions and practicalities, it’s the moments in between that make a difference: sharing experiences, exploring Madrid, getting to know each other and simply spending time together.

We’re excited to see this class grow together — and we’re pretty sure this spirit will carry them through the next three years. 🌍

Here’s to the journey ahead, Cohort 3! 🚀

🇯🇵 New exchange opportunity in Japan!

We’re excited to announce that our students now have another option for their 3rd semester: instead of studying remotely, they can spend the semester on campus at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Beppu, Japan. 🎓🌏
