[Message from Avi Ganon, Director General and CEO of World ORT]

This week I begin my second year as Director General and CEO of World ORT. With your help, we have already achieved many things together. The following is just a short highlight reel:

• We have added one new school, 15 new Future Learning Spaces and three new YOUniversity Centers of Excellence to our schools network in Israel
• We have successfully operated a YOUniversity-based science and technology program in the US within Jewish Summer Camps
• We have completed the renovation of the Simcha School in Kiev
• Our ORT Alumni Network website has now gone live
• We celebrated our inaugural International ORT Day, which will now be an annual event
• We have run fundraising seminars in Israel and the US, as well as instigating regular online meetings
• We have implemented a major rebrand, which has been adopted, too, by national organizations

These achievements and others would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the ORT family – particularly the professionals and the lay leaders – and I thank you all for your continued support.

As we approach Rosh Hashanah, I wish you all a Shana Tova U’metuka and wish you, your families, and ORT, continued health, happiness and success for the coming year.

making an impact in Kfar Silver Youth village

We are delighted to announce that Ort’s Kfar Silver youth village has won a prestigious award.

The Israeli Ministry of Education's Excellence Award criteria was based on indicators in the fields of values, social and educational achievements, as well as the school's level of improvement.

Shimon Solomon, director of the Kfar Silver youth village, said: "There is nothing more joyous than seeing the fruit for our hard work. The youth village team leaves no stone unturned in order to improve every aspect.

“There is no doubt Kfar Silver is undergoing a change and we can all feel it in the atmosphere, as well as a change in the approach towards the youth village."
