In my early days, I would have resonated with what philosopher J. P. Moreland wrote years later, when he said that for many people the term scientific meant something was “good, rational, and modern,” whereas something not scientific was old-fashioned and not worth the belief of thinking people. But as I took a deeper look, the mind-stretching discoveries from cosmology, cellular biology, DNA research, astronomy, physics, and human consciousness actually presented astonishing evidence for a Creator.

The Case for a Creator reexamines the theories that once led me away from God, and actually ended up pointing me to God.

2026 is officially the year of the eclipse, featuring a rare quartet of celestial events culminating in Europe's first total solar eclipse in nearly three decades.

The celestial marathon begins on February 17 with an annular "ring of fire" solar eclipse over Antarctica, where the moon’s distance from Earth leaves a brilliant border of light visible around its edges. This is quickly followed on March 3 by a total lunar eclipse. During this "blood moon" event, the Earth’s shadow will blanket the lunar surface in a deep rusty red for nearly an hour, providing a spectacular view for observers throughout the Pacific region, including western North America and eastern Australia.

The year’s crowning jewel arrives on August 12 with a total solar eclipse, the first to touch continental Europe in twenty-seven years. The path of totality will race from the Arctic through Greenland and Iceland before cutting a 182-mile-wide swath across northern Spain. For two breathtaking minutes, day will turn to night and the sun's ethereal corona will be revealed to the naked eye, marking a historic moment for millions of skywatchers across the region.

Global data reveals Gen Z is the first generation to underperform their parents in attention, memory, and literacy skills.

For decades, global intelligence scores followed an upward trajectory known as the Flynn Effect. However, new neuroscientific research suggests this trend has sharply reversed. According to data from over 80 countries presented by Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath, Generation Z is the first demographic to score lower on key cognitive measures—including IQ, memory, and numeracy—than the Millennials who preceded them. This downturn, which became noticeable around 2010, marks a significant shift in human cognitive development, raising concerns about the long-term impact of modern digital environments on brain function.

Researchers point toward the ubiquitous presence of digital technology as a primary driver for these changes. As screen time increases, it often replaces the deep, interactive learning experiences necessary for building complex neural pathways. Critics emphasize that the shift away from critical thinking toward passive consumption may be fundamentally altering how the younger generation processes information. To combat this decline, experts are urging a return to balanced digital habits and richer, more immersive learning environments that challenge the mind beyond the digital interface.
