🎥 UDHR75: Episode 7 - An Introduction to the Right to Development

As we approach the 23rd session of the Working Group on the Right to Development, Grace Oladipo, Lyn Schwarzhaupt and Imtithal Audi give an introduction!

The right to development is an inalienable human right of all individuals and peoples. It entitles every human person and all peoples to the right to participate in, contribute to, and enjoy development, which is a comprehensive economic, social, cultural and political process.

One vital step towards realizing this right is to adopt a legally binding instrument on the right to development. The treaty will establish obligations for States to respect, protect and fulfill the right to development and an implementation mechanism.
