At La Garenne, karting isn’t just about who crosses the line first, it’s about what it takes to get there🏎️

Through our Track Karting Academy, students train under the guidance of Nicolas Rohrbasser, a world karting champion, learning far more than how to go fast. Every session sharpens focus, precision, and control, the theory and technique behind competitive racing, mastered one corner at a time.

Throughout the year, students progress through a genuine racing journey: simulator training, track sessions across Switzerland and France, and even RX 250 competition, before putting everything they’ve learned to the test in a 2-hour endurance race to close out the programme.

What starts as a passion for speed becomes something far more lasting: confidence, discipline, and a real understanding of what it takes to compete🏁

It’s Inter-House season again🏆

Our first Inter-House Icebreaker of the year brought Bouquetin🐐🟢, Buse🦅🟠, Cerf🦌🔵 and Lynx🐆🟡 together for an afternoon of obstacle courses and games, with students of every age competing side by side.

From our youngest students to our oldest, everyone had a role to play: cheering teammates on, working out the fastest way through each obstacle, and crossing the finish line as a team. Points were earned, but the real win was watching four Houses come together just a few days into the school year.

We were so happy to welcome our new and returning students, together with their families, back to La Garenne over the weekend.❤️💙

There is something very special about seeing the campus come to life again, and even more so this year as we welcome a record number of students and an expanded team of staff for the new academic year.

We are proud to begin this new chapter with such a wonderful international community and are looking forward to everything the year ahead will bring.✨

Precision, patience and discipline: golf asks for all three, and it’s exactly what our Golf Academy is built around.⛳

As much as it is a physical sport where players need complex technique to hit the ball consistently, there’s also the psychological challenge of being in the right frame of mind every time they face the tee. Our young golfers train under the guidance of Alexandre Lemetayer, a PGA Golf Pro with over 30 years of coaching experience, following a personalised path built around technical development, physical conditioning and mental training, supported by our in-house Trackman Golf Simulator, which allows for detailed swing analysis and ongoing feedback.

With clear objectives and regular practice, students grow in skill and confidence, all while enjoying access to some of the most outstanding golf courses across the Swiss Alps.🏔️

The Golf Academy also competes in inter-school and international tournaments, giving our golfers real competitive experience beyond the course.🏆🏅

Looking back on some of this year’s Summer Camp highlights, our visit to CERN is hard to beat.🔬

Our campers didn’t just learn about the future of science and technology, they stood above the very tunnel where it’s being built, watching scientists from across the globe chase answers to some of the universe’s biggest questions.🌍

Every great football journey starts somewhere and for many of our students, it starts right inside our alma mater.⚽

Did you know that La Garenne is home to four specialised Sports Academies? Today, we’re taking a closer look at one of them: the Juventus Football Academy.

Twice a week, our students train on the pitch under the official Juventus methodology and expert guidance, sometimes joined by young footballers from the local community, it’s here that technique is sharpened, confidence is built, and a genuine love for the game takes hold.💪

Each year, the Academy also travels to Turin, home of Juventus, for a week of intensive training with the club’s coaches, students get to visit the Juventus stadium, meet members of the team, and experience the electric atmosphere of a real match, an unforgettable trip that brings everything they’ve learned to life.🇮🇹

Back on home turf, the Academy competes in 20 to 30 matches throughout the season against Swiss clubs and local schools, real games, real opponents, real experience, building team spirit and lasting friendships along the way.🏆⚡

As our Summer Camps have come to an end, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible season we’ve shared.☀️

Over the past weeks, we’ve watched friendships grow, confidence blossom and countless adventures unfold.

To mark the occasion, we asked our campers to share their favourite part of the summer, and their answers say it all.

Did you know that every Primary student at La Garenne learns to play a musical instrument?🎵🎻🎷🎹

From Year 2 to Year 6, all children have the opportunity to pick up an instrument, whether it’s the violin, piano, guitar, drums, or something else entirely, and build their skills through weekly Music lessons.

Beyond playing, students also sing, compose their own pieces using recording software, and work together in groups and as a class to bring their ideas to life.
For those who want to go further, we offer individual lessons in violin, cello, guitar, drums, ukulele, clarinet, piano, saxophone and singing, so every child can find the instrument that speaks to them.
