Have you ever thought why we have so many arguments with each other? What makes us go against one another, resisting, confronting, defending, attacking...?
This poem reminds us of that. Of the rift our minds create between us, seeing the differences, while our soul longs for oneness.
Let's begin the week with a bit of kindness. Towards ourselves first, knowing that we experience the world differently, and we are all one.
💜
Here I am again,
temple against the window,
head against the world,
my world against yours,
always in conflict
for I see you as another,
separate from me.
And I can’t stand the difference between us,
like a deep valley,
a crevasse in the fold of time,
a deep wound that separated us long ago.
And I hurt, oh, how it hurts being me,
different from you,
longing for us to be one,
hating you for not being the same
as me,
temple on the window,
looking out through my eyes,
seeing the world through my soul,
feeling it
through my heart.
