The last days have been so clear about this fundamental truth: That I shall not rely on my reasoning to find guidance, but that I better rely on the still voice within me. The still voice is gentle, It is immediate, It is peaceful, It is creative, It is precise. It is Divine. It looks like Psalm 23:...

If this is true, then there must be a complete change in interpreting the events, small or big, that happen to us. It means that, as I am going about my day, in every person I see, in what the person tells me; or in every problem that recurs, I must ask myself the question: what information, what cue does Life want to give me through this so that I can find what I am looking for? We all sometimes have negative patterns that repeat over and over. More interestingly, these patterns happen exactly where our hearts are craving for something better. With more time at home, you might make the experience of having new impulses. Suddenly, you discover how creative you can be with sewing. Or you are surprised how much fun you have in training your argumentation skills. Or you are so happy to do some Afro dance.

But then, there is a little voice that says “you have never done that before. You really want to start this at your age? It’s ridiculous. You are not like that”

Believe me: don’t listen to that liar.

If you feel aliveness and joy in doing something, DO IT. It’s part of your nature to do so and you have the right to.

The next time that voice speaks, say “Up until now, I did not (fill in the activity or way of doing), but from now on, I do it”. Independently from how the past was, you are free to do something new, or to act a new way.
