I am proud that No Comment was the first studio in Singapore to offer Arno Stern's non-judgemental Painting-Play approach!

Since moving to Switzerland, I have been teaching Art, English and LAMDA, running a little airbnb chalet and making lots of art:-)

From my collection, this is: "Go Placidly Amid The Noise And Haste"

This is the first line of a poem I love called “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann. The words and the colourful whirl are a reminder to nurture our inner peace, even when the world around us seems chaotic.

Art of the Day! Désalpe Cow - Lucy E Shaw Available now for purchase. In the Swiss alps, (where we live), when the cows are brought down from their mountain pastures at the end of the summer, their proud owners deck them with flowers. There is a cacophony of dingalinging from their bells as they parade through villages towards their farms f...

Father's Day has a way of sneaking up, doesn't it! "Lone Bull Gazing At The Snowy Peaks" is a thoughtful place to start if you're looking for something special for your dear dad this year.

I actually painted this for my own darling dad a few years ago. He loves to ski, so this bull is gazing wistfully at the snowy peaks, awaiting his chance to get back up to the mountains.

My Father's Day Sale is now live, and you can use code DAD2026 for 20% off any artwork in my collection.

Where do you spend the most time? Does the art in that room actually reflect how much time you spend there?

The spaces we use most deserve the most thought.

On my mind lately: "Great White Shark"

Art of the Day! Naturally Irresistible - Lucy E Shaw 30/05/2026

Art of the Day! Naturally Irresistible - Lucy E Shaw Available now for purchase. This is a cow I met grazing in my village in Switzerland who wowed me with the way she had styled herself to the nines with grass and weeds. She is a stocky Val D’Hérens cow, famous for “fighting” (actually just locking horns with another cow and pushing each other...

Welcome to my happy place. The painting is from back when we lived in France and my hammock hung in a cherry tree, around 2012 maybe? It's now hanging on the "lean-to" I built with my parents last year, so that I could empty out our chalet basement and create my studio/gallery/boutique. And my new happy place is a hammock strung under our walnut tree.💚

Tarentaise Cows In Love

This is one of a series of paintings I did on Cows In Love, inspired by the cows in La Clusaz in the French alps. La Clusaz and the Haute-Savoie region is famous for its Reblochon cheese which is made by combining the milk from three breeds of cows: Monbéliarde, Tarentaise and Abondance. In the 16th century the cheese also became known as "fromage de dévotion" (devotional cheese) because it was offered to the Carthusian monks of the Thônes Valley by the farmers, in return for having their homesteads blessed. These canooodling cows represent all sorts of love and devotion, but for me, given that most of the cows in the fields are female dairy cows, they strongly symbolise the depth of sisterhood and motherly love. A perfect gift to your loved one - or yourself!
