As a noun, "preppy" refers to a young person from a rich family who goes to an expensive school and who wears expensive, tidy clothes, and acts in a way thought to be typical of such a school. The plural of "preppy" is "preppies".
"Preppy" can also be used as an adjective. We could have "preppy clothes, a preppy image", etc.

Here are some examples of appropriate expressions used by them; instead of using :

★ It's the best → Use → it's by far the best
★ I'm busy → Use →I'm tied up
★ It's a secret → Use → keep it under wraps

ADJECTIVES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SENSES.
It is common to use the verbs associated with the senses with adjectives.
Those verbs are as follows :
★ feel
★ smell
★ sound
★ look
★ taste
★ seem
Example :
1/ I feel terrible today ( something you feel inside )
2/ you sound tired ( this is my opinion— I detect tiredness in your voice )
3/ she didn't sound Italian ( again, this is my opinion going by her voice )
4/ you look fabulous today ( this is my opinion when I look at you )
5/ he doesn't look very happy today ( again my opinion. What my eyes tell me )
👉 This milk tastes funny
★ the adjective "funny" has two meanings.
It means something that makes you laugh or something strange. In the above example it means "strange".
★ Adjective + verb
We normally use an infinitive after an adjective.
example : It was really great to see you again
For adjectives followed by a preposition, then we use the gerund.
example : he is fed up with cleaning everyday .

1/ Childhood : the time when someone is a child .

2/ Neighborhood : the area where you live with your neighbors
ex. Sarah lives in a very posh neighborhood.
3/ Livelihood : your source of income, they way you earn the money you need to live.

4/ Likelihood : something that will possibly happen .
